Carey Mulligan attended the London Film Critics’ Circle Awards 2012 which was held at the BFI Southbank this evening in London.
The British actress wore this Roland Mouret Spring 2012 dress for a second time.
This berry red jersey dress with white leather flower appliqués was first worn to a private party at the Chateau Marmont last week.
I’m happy she wore the dress a second time, because now we get to see the dress from the front.
On the previous occasion she opted for black peep-toes, but tonight she donned blue YSL Palais pumps which we’ve see her wear once before.
Whilst I love that she opted for a surprisingly colour choice shoe-wise, I think I would’ve preferred black peep-toes.
Yes I said it.
Tacori studded earrings completed her look.

Loved it (hair, makeup, dress) till I got to the blue shoes – they feel forced and out of place. I would´ve actually even preferred white
Ankles up – LOVE IT. The one time she wears something other than brown shoes, and we don’t like it
“I think I would’ve preferred black peep-toes. Yes I said it.”
LOL
+1
Except for the shoes I really dig this look. It has a retro feel while being really fresh.
Love the dress, just not on her… Bad shoe choice also.
Your last sentence “Yes I said it.” makes me laugh
The blue feels a bit jarring, the black shoes would have gone with the black accent around the neck. Having said that, I find the black bit annoying.
I agree, I would have preferred red shoes.
Red, white, nude, black or even a different shade of blue. The hue is all wrong.
The shoes are a no.
Oh No You Didnt – black peeps.
Maybe Green? Red? Not black please no
My first thought: love the color, shape, and graphic appeal on this dress. Second: what’s that strange looseness in the torso? I don’t like how that’s cut. I agree about the shoes, and wish she’d worn shoes similar to the model. This color and design is really cute on her otherwise!
not her best. the dress is too long for a petite like her,and the shoes feel out of place. anyhow i adore her hair and make-up
The red dress-blue shoe combo reminds me of Katie Holmes’ Met Ball Gown back in 2010. I hated it then as I hate it now…
Carey is super cute tho’, so I’ll forgive her.
I was wondering where my Duvet cover from University went. Hideous.
I would have also prefered black peep-toes.It’s the black detail from the neckline that asks for it.In this case, anything but those blue shoes
