Meryl’s black shirt dress with embroidered lace shoulders and sleeves was teamed with a simple black belt.
The look feels a tad too casual for my liking, but knowing Meryl this could’ve been a lot worse.
She arrived on the red carpet carrying a Ferragamo black Swarovski-encrusted minaudière and completed her look with Ferragamo shoes.
I prefer the original version, I like the sleeves better.

I am in total agreement! I was trying to figure out what was wrong and that is it! Not to mention that, as you said, the silhouette does nothing for her.
This just makes me nuts…She looks like shes dressed for a Hoot’Nanny.
She should only wear Chris March. That white gown from 2 years ago was simply stunning on her.
