Elle Macpherson opted for two similar style gowns for the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.
She started off at the main event wearing a white Zac Posen gown with a Kotur clutch.
I found this gown to be overly fussy, from the details on the bodice to the frou-frou tulle skirt.
I prefer the gold strapless Roberto Cavalli gown she wore to the NBC Universal party.
This gown is more streamlined and less fussy despite the similarities.
Which gown did you prefer?

Def. her gold – great fit, she looks fantastic in it esp. with her voluminous loose waves. The white gown is too bridal and sits awkwardly on her body, very sloppy.
II cant believe you didnt like the red carpet look. She was in my top 3 along side Angelina and Charlize. Elle looks amazing!
Thank you. I thought I was the only person who thought the one on the left looked like a badly fitted cast? The one on the right is much better as befitting a lady with an amazing body.
I like both but the gold one should have been worn at the main event.
1)the red carpet look was really bad!
2)the second dress is the better version of kate beckinsale’s dress, i wish kate beckinsale had worn it
The gold number gets my vote.
I prefer the cavalli
I really don’t like the fussy Posen dress. They’re both so similar, a style I don’t favour in general, but the Cavalli is way better.
I loved both, but this CAvalli is so amazing, she would be more stunning in the Golden Globes with this one.
The first Zac Posen look screamed desperate to me, she doesn’t need to do that, I usually find many of Zac Posen’s gowns are overly fussy and overworked. The gold gown Cavalli is way better for her and really popped on the red carpet. She looked like a goddess, beautiful.
The second one for sure, the red carpet look is beyond awful. Can someone explain to me those weird bracelets and why she kept them on the second look?
not a fan of either, to be honest. I also think that Elle needs to deal with that hair.
does it matter? Elle in a trash bag would still make it Vogue!
The gold dress by far – she looks fabulous! I have to agree with you about the white dress – way too much going on.
Elle looks great in a bathing suit. However, when you start putting more clothes on her the taste factor becomes an issue. A serious issue . . .
The Zac Posen was AWFUL. When I saw it on tv and how it moved I felt like crying. The Cavalli one is better but nothing special and the mermaid hem looks like it’s from an another dress
I prefer the Cavalli gown, by far.
The first one is just too fussy.
Plus, I think she is slightly overdressed for someone who wasn’t a nominee and not even really a part of the cinema/tv industry (ok, I understand she has some talent/reality show starting off, but you know what I mean).
Good news is that she looks stunning. Still totally deserving her nickname!
I dislike both of them.
They are both devine, but i prefer the first look…
The gold one wins for me. There is just too much going on with the Zac Posen gown, it just feels like random bits and pieces have been taken from everywhere and pushed together. Love the fit of the gold dress.
I would like to see the coulour of the first dress on the second one
