Heidi Klum put her own unique spin on tonight’s nude colour trend at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards tonight.
The supermodel, who tends to over cook it at these events, opted for a simple nude custom Calvin Klein Collection bisque silk crepe sheath dress with plunging back, designed by Francisco Costa.
Heidi accessorized the flesh-toned dress with a bold turquoise necklace, with matching earrings and rings.
On the red carpet, Heidi admitted that she started her hunt for the perfect look with the $1 million dollar Lorraine Schwartz necklace, and looked for a matching dress from there.
We might do the same with a necklace that fab.

From the front, the dress is blah. From the back–it’s so low that it’s quite tacky. The necklace though? It reminds me of Eva Mendes’s famous necklace at the 2010 Golden Globes…a great statement piece!
She looks amazing, I love it from head to toe!!
Honestly? NO. The dress is nice, and the necklace is fantastic, but the hair and the makeup don’t do anything to showcase the necklace or the dress. In the end, it looks too casual, IMO.
If she wanted to show off the necklace she should have pulled her hair up, also that hair is just too casual for the Globes.
I think her whole look is STUNNING! The dress goes perfectly with the gorgeous necklace. The only thing I would suggest is that she add waves to her hair. Even a beachy hair look would have been great with this. it would add to that boho-chic look.
Hmm, bit too casual imo

The whole look is beautiful! I just think it looks too much like a summery look, especially for such a formal event.
I adore the jewelry… the dress is nothing special. Overall I don’t love this look but I cant fault the jewelry.
I don’t like this look because you could see her nipples on TV
I don’t like the necklace, the dress is blah and the hair is a throwback to 2004.
This strikes a surfer-girl feel with me – and I don’t like it!
Hair is a bit Kristin Cavallari…
Where is Heidi’s usual statement dress?
IMO she’s playing this a bit too casual..
I love the necklace and the flat Aniston hair, but the dress is nothing to hang in the memory.
This is among my favourite looks of the evening.
i really like her but she seems to be loosing her touch of late. i find this a big miss for the red carpet
I actually like this the more I look at it. It’s very Kate Bosworth/Gwyneth Paltrow, but the necklace and matching cocktail ring really punch it up.
This is yet another clean very chic look. What I don’t get is her hair down. If you are so hooked up on showing a necklace, shouldn’t you wear your hair on a bun or something? That straight down hair kills the thrill of the jewelry just about in half.
I found this look rather surprising for Heidi Klum, because she usually goes big at the Golden Globes. I like how this look is more natural and understated compared to what she usually wears. It’s a nice change.
