Jessica Chastain hit the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards red carpet this evening.
She donned a white Givenchy Couture gown which was covered in pearl details and features a high turtleneck neckline.
Unfortunately, the gown’s beautiful artistry and intricate details are completely overshadowed by that horrible backcombed hair. An up-do would have been much better for the turtleneck.
The look was worn sans clutch, naturally.

A neat low bun would´ve been nice but she looks nice and radiant nevertheless.

The hair isn’t the greatest (a soft, romatic updo would’ve been DIVINE) but it doesn’t kill the look for me. I would think that the dress was a total 10 out of 10 on her if the bodice fit a bit more loosely. It seems a bit too tight.

I had exactly the same tought as you did. That hair! It could’ve been great but that hair kills it.

I am really disappointed. The hairstyle ages her and the gown gives me the impression that it’s too tight on her.
Anymore of this and I am going to cry!! She is so beautiful and has so much potential but there is always something that really lets her down. I am not a huge fan of the turtleneck but this dress with her hair from the Critic’s choice awards would have been great, this hair is so bad. I may be coming around to the no clutch thing though, if only she could pair it with a great dress and some great hair and makeup. le sigh
