Evan Rachel Wood tried out a new look for the BAFTA Awards Season Tea Party on Saturday evening.
Her retro-inspired ensemble is Evan’s second look from the Roland Mouret’s Spring 2012 collection.
Her edgy separates included a bright red pencil skirt and an ivory/black cotton boucle cropped blazer, worn open with an exposed bandeau bra.
Evan looks like she just stepped straight off the set of ‘Mad Men’. Her pixie cut was even styled in an era-appropriate pompadour.
I have a feeling that this visible bra look might many of you turned off, but Evan pulls of the edgy choice based on her total confidence and dedication to the look.
Many may have modified this look to be less revealing, but not Evan. I just wish her footwear choice would’ve been so bold.

love it.. including the shoes..
I agree that this makes her look older than she is, but that this her thing. I think she looks fabulous, and of often find her looks offputting.
Love this on her. And the fit is perfect. I don’t even mind the shoes with it, as they tir back to the belt nicely.
I really like this look- it’s retro without being too kitschy or costumey. Has anyone ever commented on her strong resemblance to Lucy Lawless, or is it just me?
Itlooks tidier on the runway and I much prefer the shorter length. I agree with Nat39 that the hair and makeup are aging.
The shoes don`t bother me, on the contrary they only keep this look on the right side of event-appropriate. What really bothers me however is how mature her hair and makeup (plus the matronly length) make her look – this is not a young woman in her early/mid 20s, more like a mature woman in her 30s trying hard to get some attention.
I like it form head (nice hairstyle) to ankle. The shoes are boring, she could do better.
Ooh! Sexy! Love this!
Ankles up she looks great. The bra on display doesn’t bother me
+1 shame she wore those boring shoes.
Ditto.
