Claire Danes looked gorgeous as she took to the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards this evening as a nominated actress in the Best Performing Actress in a Dramatic Television Series for her role in ‘Homeland.’
She wore a J. Mendel Couture gown, which is a longer version of similar dress from the Pre-Fall 2012 collection.
The ecru and black, draped front gown has embroidered cap sleeves and an open back was style with a chic updo.
Hot red lips and silver jewels completed her look.

Great fit but it feels a bit too edgy for the event. Rooney Mara came to mind instantly.
I don’t know whether it’s the hair and make-up but it feels like a very different look for her.

The bodice fits a bit oddly and I don’t like the open back, but I do like the embroidery and the color combination. It has a cool minimalist feel.

This is an incredible dress on her, only surpassed by Angelina Jolie’s dress…..which so far I don’t know who the designer is for that.

The cut of the dress is something I expect from Claire, but the black and white and the details are a surprise. I don’t looove it, but she looks great.
