Jessica Chastain hit the red carpet for the 2012 AFI Awards this afternoon in LA.
The actress tried out a mod look wearing a black sleeveless top and white knee-length skirt with black pocket details from the Andrew Gn Resort 2012 collection.
Her look was minimally styled with Christian Louboutin sling-backs and the same onyx earrings worn to the Critic’s Choice Awards yesterday evening.
Once again no clutch.
What does Jessica have against a nice clutch?
A chic ponytail with side swept bangs and neutral makeup completed her look.

I actually like it.
Me too! It’s cute and quirky!
What are the side swept bangs for…too cheesy for this look, should`ve been slick. The outfit doesn`t work on her figure, makes her look boxy, plus she is a bit too mature for this youthful outfit. The shoes could`ve been a bit more interesting.
There haven’t been a lot of looks from Jessica Chastain but I do like this, but I do agree a clutch would be nice
Dear Jessica,
You are gorgeous in a really Waspy way. Therefore, please stay away from outfits that are appropriate for the golf links. It makes you look like you didn’t have time to change after completing the back nine. Please also consider not wearing that neckline ever again. You have a bust and this is not the best look for a girl with tatas.
Best,
A Concerned Fashion Fan
Ditto!
The sandals the look was presented with would have been a better choice.
I actually don’t mind the pumps, I think she looks great. I just wish there were some more accessories in this look.
Something about the fit bothers me. She looks like she could use a bit more support for her bust with the way the skirt is positioned. I like the look a lot on the model, though- especially those killer sandals.
If i have any kind of clutch in my hands, I end up leaving it somewhere. Maybe she is like that?
She has been looking nicer lately.
Crashing bore. It doesn’t fit her well and I am beginning to blame her posture.
She looks fantastic, but does anyone not think the dress looks like it was from a recent collection of 3.1 Phillip Lim?
She either has a short torso, or the top of the dress has been shortened. Either way, that’s my quibble.
