Nina Dobrev was nominated for her hit television show ‘The Vampire Diaries’ at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards this evening.
Her Elie Saab Spring 2012 dress with lace sleeves was yet another sexy, chic sophisticated look for the young actress.
She opted to switch things up on this occasion, going for pin-straight hair instead of waves with smoky eye makeup.
The Kelly green dress truly pops against Nina’s long dark hair. This particular shade was a popular choice for awards’ season last year, so it will be interesting to see if the trend repeats itself this year.
Nude sandals were paired with a fun circular Lauren Merkin clutch to complete the look.

For some reason when I first saw the thumbnail I thought: Demi Moore. I don’t fancy the sleeves, I think it ages the look.
The sleeves look better from afar, or maybe it’s just the angle. Despite that, she looks great.
Love this color on her. hate the sleeves though, looks like moss growing on her.

I’m more disturbed by the constant presence of boring nude shoes on her.

Don’t like the shoes but that green Saab is lovely on her.
Its not often that I am bored by an Elie Saab outfit but Nina’s look proves me wrong. It’s just so dull. Even the gorgeous colour can’t save this look from faling flat.
I seem to be in the minority but I really don’t like this dress. The green is too cold against her skin, the sleeves should be left to some 70-year-old UES socialite and the accessories are totally wrong. Hair and face are flawless, though.
I love the color but that’s about it. The neckline is too low, and I want to love the sleeves but can’t…
The shoes make her feet look very large, which i am sure is not the case!
