Jennifer Morrison In Oscar de la Renta – 2012 People’s Choice Awards

Jennifer Morrison opted for a Victorian chic look at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards.

The actress donned a clay Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012 silk georgette embroidered dress with cascading fringe trim.

Her romantic look was styled with a large bouffant ballerina bun.

I have a feeling that opinions on this hairstyle will be quite divided, but I have to say I am a fan.

Jennifer paired the dress with nude heels, diamond earrings and an Oscar de la Renta Cara vanity case.

The hair is ok, but the shoes are a problem for me.

If I place my thumb to block the portion of her hair and pretend it’s in a low updo, I’d be more of a fan.

LOVE this look. She looks very glamorous and really brings that dress to life.

I’m shocked that you weren’t more critical of those heavy pumps! This is a perfect example of a situation where a celebrity would benefit from a delicate, strappy sandal.

      agree with you 100%.
Love this look, dress looks better than presented on the run way in my opinion. But the shoes really let it down.
      Very Sienna Miller makeup.

    Love, love, love the dress!
Love the hair STYLE, but the excessive contrast in color between the bun and the base of her hair annoys me. A bun should not look like a hat!!!
The shoes are too clunky for my taste.

Despite these flaws, I really like the overall look.
She really wears that dress so well!

I wasn’t really a fan of this dress on the runway but on Jennifer it looks amazing I love the whole look.

She looks stunning. The dress is absolutely gorgeous, so delicate and dramatic, and I think the hair continues with the drama with a ladylike touch. I don’t really like the shoes with this dress, but seriously, who notices them when she’s wearing this exceptional dress.

I find myself hating all of this heavy shoes! I liked them maybe 3 years ago, but not anymore. Specially because we have seen so many people ruinning beautiful clothes with them.

    I’m brazilian and addicted to redcarpet-fashionawards! =D

I would definitely have preferred a daintier shoe. As Liz said, delicate strappy sandals would have looked so much better. Otherwise, it’s a stunning dress.

Loving this, she pulls it off to perfection, and I’m a fan of the hair too!

For some reason I’m loving the big hairstyle from the ODLR show, especially paired with youthfully elegant clothes. I do appreciate her up knot for showing the off the dress, hate shoes though.

  16. Colleen January 12, 2012 at 14:29 #

She looks gorgeous from the ankles up. Why those shoes, Jennifer? Why??

  17. Amber January 12, 2012 at 16:35 #

love the hair. hate the bottom portion of the dress and the shoes.

  18. Rebecca Z January 13, 2012 at 00:36 #

Don’t like this either. Not a fan of the dress, not a fan of her hairstyle, and the shoes are dreadful.

  19. It’s all a bit much on her.

Macrame hem–really? And a top-knot. Sigh. The bodice is pretty, though!
