Keira Knightley attended the 2011 National Board Of Review Awards Gala in New York City last night.
It’s not often we see the British star opting for a head-to-toe black look, but she did so wearing a black Nina Ricci Resort 2012 dress.
Her cap-sleeve chiffon dress with a lace-front panel prevents this from being a typical LBD.
A Chanel handbag, black tights and black Roger Vivier velvet sandals blend into the background, so I wish she’d opted for pieces which stood out.
Wavy locks and dark coral lip colour finished the look.
Rarely do I say this about Keira, but she can do much better. I feel very let down by this look and I wish she’d kept the belt.

Nothing wow-worthy, but I like everything except the shoes with the black tights. I really hope she’ll stay in the US for the award season!
Such a let down.
This look reminds me of Alexa Chung a little bit too much…
Now that you mention it, she does look like Alexa Chung….
And somehow the shoulders of the dress make her look really stiff.
Haha! I was going to say the very same thing. So sad, because I love the dress on the model.. so much that I want it, but Keira has really Alexa Chung-ed it on this one. Sad face.
I normally love her, but everything about this feels really flat.
Agree FC about the belt. Prefer a nude leg. It’s not a wow. Lovely makeup.
I think she looks beautiful!
I have see some really beautiful pictures of Keira in this dress… i think you have possibly chosen a really bad image…
she looks tired, and that’s why this is not the best look,in my opinion.lovely dress, without tights it would be much better.this way is too black.
The front panel isn’t sheer, right? Other than that, I really like the dress! Sadly, her styling doesn’t seem inspired…
