Good Housekeeping magazine threw a lavish cocktail party to celebrate Jennifer Hudson’s new book, ‘I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down’, which was held at the Hearst Tower in New York City on Tuesday.
The singer, who loves fitted dresses to showcase her achievements, this time opted for a figure-enhancing Roland Mouret ‘Gina’ dress from the Spring 2012 collection.
The ceylon-yellow dress was teamed with white platform ankle-strap peep-toes which I do not favour.
A chic half-up, half-down hairstyle and a rouge lip colour completed her look.
Yay or nay on her footwear choice?

Definite nay. I don’t care for this Roland Mouret dress on the runway or on Jennifer. Tough color too.
D: Let down by the shoes! Everything else was so amazing.
Nay!
She looks fabulous….from the ankles up
I think the dress is ok and would have been better with dark shoes. However, the major beef I have with her style in general is too much bosom showing in a nonflattering way – it draws your eye away from the whole. She has done this before and I think it detracts from her look.
Nay on her bra choice! Seriously unflattering. What was she thinking? They look like saggy breasts..
I think a beautiful aubergine color shoe would have nailed this look! *(that and a better bra!)
Nay on the footwear!
The dress is sweet on the runway, but too revealing on Jennifer. Also, would have loved an aubergine pump and maybe a clutch!
Nay on the shoes, and she needs better support.
I would have chosen a pair of sexy red sandals for her, to complement the gorgeous lips
