Charlize Theron attended the 23rd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Saturday night, accepting the award for ‘Best Ensemble’ for ‘Young Adult’ with her co-stars.
The actress wore a simple Lanvin Spring 2012 LBD.
She paired her black fitted dress with Cartier yellow gold and black onyx panther bracelet and yellow gold and diamond drop earrings.
Is it just me, or does this ensemble not scream ‘Jennifer Aniston’ from head to toe?
Little black dress, simple strappy sandals, gold jewelry – check.
That being said, this is a relatively simplistic look that totally works for Charlize.
With a revealing slit and padded shoulders, the dress strays from becoming too boring.
Are you a fan of this classic look, or would you prefer a little more oomph from Charlize?

Charlize: freakin gorgeous. Prefer catwalk shoes though.
Charlize is so stunning that she looks fantastic in that simple look..had she added a gold choker necklece it would have been perfection!
The padded shoulders are really the saving grace of this outfit.
It is simple but very strong with those powerful shoulders and deep split… anything but boring this is classic with edge. I love it!
I agree 100%.
The shoulders make her look part almost modernist part broad shouldered. I kind of like it overall though. I thinks the shoes and simple clutch work well for this occasion.
I think she looks amazing, sometimes simple leads to perfection….p.s. so glad you are up and running again, I really missed checking in on my favorite site!
She looks great.. but more oomph please!
