Sonam Kapoor was joined by Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu and Neil Nitin Mukesh for the Dubai premiere of their film ‘Players’ this week.
Unfortunately I can’t find a better-quality picture, but I had to show you how stunning she looked in this Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2011 Couture gown.
This isn’t her first time wearing a couture dress by the French designer; you may remember she burst onto the international scene during Cannes Film Festival wearing a gown from his Fall 2009 collection.
On this occasion her ivory off-the-shoulder gown has draped chiffon pieces which fall from the bustier.
This is the most beautiful and elegant I have ever seen her on the red carpet.
I love the chic braided updo and smoky eyes which completed her flawless look.

OMG ! I was so impatient to see this gown on the red carpet !! She clearly does it justice, Sonam is really becoming a one-to-watch.
she is isn’t she!
She’s such a brilliant fashionista. would have loved to see better quality pictures. Her whole look seems so classy and avant grade. Would you be getting us better quality pictures later FC?
I have been looking for 2 days, but I will let you know if I find one
FC will try sending you one
Thank you
i think she looks awful
I have to agree
agree. The bodice reminds me of an armour, and it looks like it’s about to slip off her.
she looks nice, but the dress not so much.firien has a point, just looks like it’s slipin off of her
I’m with you guys – I don’t think “droopy” is what people usually go for on the red carpet, but that’s all I can think when I look at both these pictures.
I agree Firien, the first thing I thought was that it looks like it is about to fall off. I love the chiffon but the bodice section is not great. fabulous hair and makeup though (from what I can see)
Me too! She waaaay too beautiful for this dress. It does nothing for her
I agree, but the hair and makeup is gorgeous and I am hoping that a better quality photo pops up, because I think that it is the photo not doing this look justice.
I agree. It isn’t one of her best looks.
agree
i love the hair and make up. but i think this dress sits too low on the bust and i don’t like the pointy bust.
I agree. I think the draping is making the bodice look more dragged down than it actually is. Also the pointy bust….
No doubt that she is looking absolutely splendid !The hair and make-up is also divine..BUT..aint it looking as if she is wearing flats…a statuesque feel is missing..also..the fall and fit of the dress above the crotch gives an illusion of a little bump which i dislike…nevertheless a worthy BDTW contender !
Edgy yet elegant – I love it.
Simply exquisite, love it
I don’t…think it’s very flattering? She’s gorgeous, there is no denying it, but I’m not really feeling her red carpet choices.
Daring dress, and she wears it splendidly.
I always have a hard time liking this kind of draping of fabrics on the arms, it feels like the dress is about to slip off.
I don’t like that the detailed bodice gives her a baby bump-look and her make up seems rather too heavy for this soft dress.
Can’t really compare it to the runway version as the lighting is so different, all the details are “missing”.
I’ll blame this mess on the bad photo quality.
Of course! she’s not wearing heels! She’s already quite tall and heels would have made her look taller that could have made her male costars look way shorter!
But she’s looking splendid! a definitely BDTW contender!
This just looks too “postnatal” on her body. I`ll blame the photo.
She looks heavenly! Already found a nominee for BDOTY , already. Of Bollywood stars, I’m glad you’ve been taking notice. Bollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra, wore a maxi by Australlian designer, Camilla Franks. I did some research and Oprah wore one of her designs! She makes such vibrant refreshing maxis and kaftans.
