Alexa Chung made a guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ last night in New York City to promote her new TV show, ’24 Hour Catwalk’.
The Lifetime show will air for the first time in the US on Tuesday January 10 at 10pm EST. She will host the show which also features Derek Blasberg and Cynthia Rowley. The premise for the reality show is that each episode four new designers will compete to create a three-piece collection and stage a runway show within 24 hours.
Alexa wore a silver metallic Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 coat as a dress.
The festive perforated look has shiny silver buttons and a leather oversized collar.
It begrudges me to say she looks really cute here.
The tights are jarring, but considering she would’ve been seated for the interview, I understand why she wore them.
Her grease-free hair was teased up into an updo with chic bangs.
Silver Marc Jacobs Mary Jane pumps from the same collection completed her look.
Will you be watching Alexa’s new show?

Although I’m not a fan of her style..she looks definitelly stylish here..I like it and the tights don’t bother me.
Surprisingly I don’t hate this outfit. She actually looks decent for once.
Maybe I would have liked this as a coat, with a nice dress beneath it, but as a dress is a NO for me. There’s something that makes it look like a very expensive smock.
Also, how many times has she worn this type of round/Peter Pan collar? Unfortunately, most of the times it doesn’t work.
she looks horrible, her hair is not flattering ,too much eyeliner and the tights are really bad with these shoes :S
Her face says ‘what the hell am I doing here!!’
It baffles me that none of Alexa’s friends have told her how much she in need of a big fat hamburger! Much to thin to carry off this metallic look!
Surprisingly I like this.
Alexa’s always been thing, but she looks positively skeletal here. Makes me worried about her because I have always liked her fashion choices (for the most part).
I would have loved this w/out the tights. She’s someone like SJP who always seems to be just one item off of a cute look.
Ooops.. I meant thin. It’s early here.
Can’t agree with you here FC. I think she looks even worse than usual. This is one of the worst-dressed looks I’ve seen in ages.
This dress looks so matronly on her. I imagine someone like Anna Wintour wearing something so heavily embellished–not Alexa.
All i can see is this awful pair of shoes… But after first look I actually like this set, but I would prefer it without black tights.
The look on her face! Priceless… Such a cute outfit just NOT ON HER.
No I won’t be watching her show. I prefer to watch shows without smug looks on their faces. I think she looks old and the tights look heavy. But then I admit I don’t get the fashion love she gets.
Agree with Laura about it looking matronly. I don’t like the tights with it either. It looks kind of silly.
very nice! and the hair is clean!
I will not be watching the stick insect’s show. She is really boring and always manages to look a little dirty. Bad dirty. Not good dirty.
She looks good here, she looks rather elegant and she’s remembered for once that she hair on head. The show sounds like an idea the Project Runway producers threw away.
Not liking the look and it’s mostly because she wears it.
An interesting idea (making this coat a dress) that doesn’t work on her. Others might have carried this off, but I agree with the expensive smock comment from Nat, on Alexa it just looks flat.
This just feels like a costumey old-fashioned dress-up (instead of retro).
This looks like something Lucy Ricardo would have worn on bridge night…awful.
Here’s another disastrous look from Miss Overrated Alexa Chung. But again she loves unflattering misshaping clothes, so it’s no surprise really that she opted to wear the coat as a dress instead of the actual dress. The tights and pumps are easily forgiven considering the overall look.
Not good infact it’s really bad
Contrived and unimpressive as always.
