Florence Welch opened the Harrods sale on Wednesday, much to the delight of her fans and bargain hunters.
The flame-haired star arrived on a vintage double-decker bus, rather than the traditional horse-drawn carriage, before performing ‘What the Water Gave Me’ from her acclaimed album, ‘Ceremonials’.
The singer donned a black Chanel Fall 2012 gown with a wool cape.
I don’t know about you, but I find this look too sombre and very depressing.
It looks like she’s going to a funeral, not celebrating the opening of the most anticipated sale in the UK.

i think she looks so pompous in this, it makes her look like a cruella de vil of sorts. if i captioned this it would read “i will end you”
OLD, witchy, gloomy, I`m surprised she didn`t fly on a broomstick to that opening…Seriously, when is she going to look her age??!!
Grim, grim, grim. Pretty much nothing to like about this look. The dress and cape are quite heavy and unflattering and her makeup isn’t much better. Not even a pop of deep red lipstick can add any life or colour or vibrancy to what is a pretty dire effort. Cheer up Florence, The Rapture isn’t coming yet.

This whole outfit is a mess. Nothing is working, including her makeup and hair. Flo should stick with Valentino, Naeem Khan, Elie Saab, and Givenchy… she tends to pull off those looks with ease. The gown + cape combo even looks bad on the model.
Someone needs to put Gucci back on her speed dial. Last year I was always thrilled to see what she would come up with, and she pulled off some pretty difficult looks. I don’t know if it is the new album or the new hair or a new stylist or what – but the magic seems to have been lost, fashion-wise. Crossing fingers she gets it back.

OK, so maybe the Gucci isn’t the cure-all, having seen the subsequent pictures. I think the biggest problem is the “new” hair.
a side part would work wonders for her, here’s hoping! sometimes i find it hard to believe she and blake lively are bffs
