Queen Latifah was one of the presenters at the VH1 Divas Celebrate Soul event which took place in New York City last night.

She wore beautiful Edition by Georges Chakra Fall 2011 gown.

Her custom navy blue crepe mermaid gown with one shoulder crystal embellished of interlaced circles was beautiful look for the diva.

The thigh-high split revealed gorgeous silver embellished sandals.

Queen Latfiah opted to wear her hair back in a tight bun on this occasion, but I wish she sported bouncy curls.

Jennifer Hudson showcased more than just her singing abilities when she took to the stage at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last night for VH1’s Divas Celebrate Soul event.

She wore a very sexy ruby mini dress from The Blonds Spring 2012 collection.

It’s a shame that the PVC strips across the front of the bodice and the straps are visible, because she really worked this look on the stage.

Rooney Mara is still relatively unknown to many people, but her red carpet style has evolved very quickly in such a short space in time.

The New Yorker who went to NYU is the younger sister of actress Kate Mara. She has already starred in many hit movies including ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’, ‘The Social Network’ and her current movie, ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’.

Her love of nude dresses didn’t end there as she went on to a nude frilly confection at the Toronto Film Festival during the same year with a small leopard-print clutch and sandals that matched her dress and completed her look.

Cut to 2010 and cute nude dresses with matching shoes were still favoured by Rooney on the red carpet for the ‘Youth In Revolt’ screening and for the LA premiere for ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ where she wore an Alberta Ferretti pinafore dress with matching accessories. Read more…

Florence Welch had three wardrobe changes for her performances at VH1’s Divas Celebrate Soul event, which was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last night.

The most uncharacteristic was her Emilio Pucci embellished dress from the Fall 2011 collection.

Usually Florence performs in gowns, so this festive ornate velvet dress is quite a departure from her recognisable style.

The glamorous dress, which is elegantly offset with crystal embellishments, was teamed with plum ankle-strap pumps.
