Statement Dresses 2011

They say a picture paints a thousand words, well so does a dress on the red carpet.

Some celebrities made strong statements just by donning a dress or a gown.

Here’s what they said to me.

LMAO @ Scandal?, What scandal?, this post has killed and buried me, actually I’m commenting through a psychic medium right now.

lolol i’m right there with you.

  5. ddukes December 23, 2011 at 11:47 #

That was fun, you should do that more often, make it a regular feature.

Aishwarya and Bryce chose the worst ways possible to make that statement – there were sooo many others beautiful ways to do it ( Beyonce comes in mind ).

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge – It wasn’t only the day when she became a princess, but it was also the day that she looked like a princess.

Jennifer Lopez – perfect dress to make that statement, wrong occasion.

Emma Watson – she did go out with a bang !

Blake Lively – apart from the statement that you’ve mentioned, I can add : ” This is why Chanel + Blake Lively ≠ ❤ ” .

hum, beg to differ on Beyoncé. That was the most famewhoring all-eyes-on-me-moment ever. Not subtle at all. Especially when you see how that pregnancy is used to promote whatever she is selling right now. Unfortunate choices for the ladies here i agree, but still 1000% better imo.

      • Alina December 23, 2011 at 15:03 #

I was thinking about fashion and the dress that Beyonce wore was better – IMO.

The caption on the first post should really be “I’m not pregnant!” since those two were trying to hide their bellys. Beyonce was doing the opposite, showing off her tum :)

“Scandal? What scandal” indeed. Blake’s virginal white frothy Chanel Haute Couture confection was as absolute a declaration of sweet-as-pie, would-never-take-a-nude-photo innocence as you can get.

lol…what ddukes above me said – make this a regular feature please! The statements are spot on!

  9. Ilmie December 23, 2011 at 13:11 #

  10. Linda December 23, 2011 at 13:15 #

I really liked this! You’re dead on, as usual. I hope you do this every year at the end of the year.

Loved this! Subliminal or intentional? I’d say the latter for sure.

“Scandal? What scandal?” Ha ha ha! This is a great post-I remember thinking how funny it was the miss check-out-my-cleavage-and-my super-legs all of sudden started covering up for a while.

  15. allieh December 23, 2011 at 17:06 #

This should totally be a regular feature lol

  16. molly December 23, 2011 at 18:34 #

Im laughing so hard at what you wrote for Blake right now! I think Catherines wedding gown said “Im a princess” but the look on her face says, “Suck it” :)

  17. EmmaWoodhouse December 23, 2011 at 19:38 #

    Loved Catherine’s and Emma’s dresses :)
Lol what a great post FC! :D

  18. Shaina December 23, 2011 at 20:04 #

Love your sense of humor! Totally have to agree with Blake’s caption.

  19. Liz December 23, 2011 at 21:17 #

This is great!! I agree, it should totally be a regular feature. :)

I think Emma Watson’s Bottega Veneta was also a statement dress.
