In 2011 we saw more celebrity mothers-to-be than ever before.
Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson, Selma Blair and Bryce Dallas Howard were just a few who were showcasing their maternity style on the streets and on the red carpet, but it was Jessica Alba whose style you loved the most.
Atelier Versace gowns, empire-waist frocks, brightly colour-blocked Diane von Furstenberg dresses, Dolce & Gabbana animal-print maxis, Lanvin separates and a D&G floral dress, which is still my personal favourite, put an impressive spin on maternity style.
Not an oversized sweater nor baggy pair of sweats was in sight.
Runner up: Victoria Beckham.

I voted for Victoria Beckham in this category, because I preferred Victoria’s penchant for polished ensembles to Alba’s more earthy, casual approach to maternity wear. I will admit, though, that the blue Atelier Versace gown in the first image is sublime.

She was stunning this year. I’ve liked her maternity style more than her usual style.
I prefer Jessica over Victoria simply because she was not only stylish but also the happiest mother to be. She was pregnancy-pretty (if that makes sense..)
P.S. May I add that this is by far my favorite week of each year, when you feature Best and Worst of the year. I literally squill every time I see a new post and I refresh the page every two minutes

this was my easiest choice. she clearly stood up from the others. too bad Beyonce didn`t fulfil our expectations as stylish-mother-to-be… yet.
Love her maternity style. She really embraces her pregnancy instead of shying away from it. I thought Victoria Beckham always looked great, too, though.

I loved Jessica’s ability to make such a variety of styles look effortlessly chic and comfortable. I think that pregnancy really softened her style. Bravo!
