Sonam Kapoor attended the 2011 Marie Claire Fashion Awards in Mumbai last night.
The Indian star looked beautiful wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2011 gown.
Her pleated halter and shoulder strap sand coloured gown was teamed with complementary Celine cuffs.
Kohl rimmed eyes and a braided updo completed her look.

I, for one, love Sonam’s style. She has fun with fashion, changes it up, and tops off her looks with a brilliant smile. What’s not to like?

this dress is a off-show FALL 2011 DRESS. same story as the dress of karlie kloss and magdalena from the show.
I llove it on the model but i dunno about sonam something lOok really off maybe the shouder and the makeuP :/

My thoughts exacatly, at the NY premiere. She wore the runway version with Christian Louboutin Maggie pumps. She looked amazing, unfortunately Sonam, beautiful thought she looks, doesn’t look nearly as good.

I much prefer the fit on Sonam (she looks so statuesque!), and I’m glad she chose the yellow/cream version, as it compliments her skin tone beautifully. I totally agree with you FC about the neckline/shoulders, though: I like them best on the model.

Her figure looks amazing in this dress, but the hair and makeup are sloppy. Unprofessional. It could just be the lighting, not sure.
The dress looks amazing on her body. It shows off her tiny waist and makes her look statuesque. For some reason I’m not in love with the color and I do prefer the runway version but she still looks great.
I don’t l ove it. Kind of boring and I too prefer the neckline on the runway.

I don’t know, every time i see her on the red carpet, it feels like a young girl playing dress ups.. she doesn’t seem to have a style of her own.. lets say she didn’t have all the money to spend, she will be lost and won’t have an individual style..
I like the halter neckline. On the model the neck is so bare but with the halter it eliminates the need for a necklace.
Well she wears the dress like that because she doesn’t want to draw attention to her arms. She has thick arms.
