As you know, I’m on a constant quest to find new and exciting footwear to brighten up the red carpet.
Recently I was introduced to Bionda Castana (translates to blonde, brunette in Italian).
Founders Natalia Barbieri (brunette) and Jennifer Portman (blonde) invited me to a breakfast which showcased their Spring 2012 collection. It was the perfect pick me up on a cold winter’s morning in London.
The friends have created some of the most unique, lustworthy shoes I have seen in a long while, so I hope to see them on the red carpet.
Their Spring 2012 collection combines progressive British design and traditional Italian craftsmanship. I would describe the collection as classic footwear with an edge, polished yet tough and oozing true femininity.
My favourites from the collection include ‘Celine’, which would work with nearly every piece in my closet, ‘Ines’ which has a sexy, yet tough edge, ‘Miram’, which is an interesting take on the classic wedge, and ‘Molly’ because I can never resist a pair of animal-print heels.
The shoes are sold on my-wardrobe.com, Browns Fashion, Harvey Nichols The Box Boutique, Nordstrom, Tearose, Stylepaste.com, Watch-That-Label.com and the Clan Store.
Prices will ranging from £380 for the ‘Tabitha’ to £640 for the ‘Christa’.
The Spring collection is due to hit stores and websites late December and late February.

I like the proportions of these deisgns, lovley balance.
Have to say that “Molly” looks very Manolo Blahnik, and the “Tabitha” very similar to a Louboutin Bibi…
I love Kinder and Marina, really. Since I’m italian I know the brand, but I’ve never “noticed” it…
I love Kinda and Marina also!! really fabulous shoes!! I’ll definitely be keeping my eye out for Bionda Castana from now on
