Charlize Theron visited ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ to promote her latest movie, ‘Young Adult’, earlier this week.
She wore a Christian Dior Resort 2012 maxi dress.
Her polka-dot long-sleeve dress, with a necktie and pendant dangling from the waist tie, was worn with a black Stella McCartney blazer to prevent the look from feeling too casual.
Charlize styled her wavy locks into a chic updo and accessorized with Melinda Maria bangles and gold-hooped earrings.
Snakeskin crisscross Reed Krakoff ‘Boxer’ sandals completed her look.

She’s classy no matter what she wears.
Am I the only one whom this look reminds of a monk robe?
No, you’re not….
hmm, it’s nice. The fact that she’s so tall, she’s able to pull off just about anything *jealous
I could’ve done without the blazer, but hey, that’s classic Charlize!
+1
I feel she wore this better than zhang ziyi
I prefer the dress without the blazer. The whole thing looks a bit too much volume. I would have liked it more scaled down.
I am not crazy about the blazer over the dress.
Very easy, breezy and beautiful.
What in the world possessed her to wear this blazer with this dress – it absolutely doesn`t belong with this delicate flowy dress, brings the whole light flowy feel of the look down, makes it look frumpy somehow. The pendant is dangling too distractingly low.
totally agree… and that dress alone doesn’t feel casual at all, unless she had the sleeves cut off, but even if it was the case, all she needed to do was to adjust the necklace and complete the look with a powerful shoe and makeup and then she’d be amazingly gorgeous and chic, like the model in the ad… I dare to say the blazer ruined the dress… and what’s the point of picking up such an amazing dress if you will end up hinding it under a damn blazer?
I would have preferred to have seen it without the blazer. Swooning over her shoes once again.
Definitely better than Zhang Ziyi, but I don’t like this dress on anyone but the model. In “real” life (the Dior picture is lovely, but it’s not how the dress might actually move when someone’s walking around in it) this dress falls flat for me. +1 to Firien’s comment about the monk robe! Not to mention the blazer…
I find this look refreshing. Its nice to not see a mini dress that the actress tugs at throughout an interview. I forgot how beautiful she is
Like the dress but not with the blazer…such a shame too.
I love this with and without the blazer. It takes a special kind of girl to be able to pull off a Dior gown with a blazer.
lose the blazer ….
A-MAZING
She loves her black blazer doesn’t she? I thought she looked very classy on Leno as opposed to the mess Scarlett Johansson looked on Letterman at the same time.
So looks beautiful and chic as always but I think I would have preferred her without the blazer, but it still works. She has such an amazing shoe collection so I wish she had worn different shoes because she wore the same ones following her appearance on the Ellen show but I love them so not sad to see them again
Love love love this look so much. It’s me… the type of look I wear. Would love to find a less expensive outfit to style like this.
I love the maxi with the blazer. Very cool and boho.
