Following Rooney Mara’s amazing Givenchy Couture look on the red carpet for the London premiere of ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’, I expected her to turn things up a notch.
Sadly I was left a tad disappointed by her Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2012 jumpsuit.
The pants are killing this look for me. They are too long and the creases are bothersome, plus the overall fit appears to be too big for the petite star.
It’s ironic how her lacquered hairstyle is almost exactly the same as that of Keira Knightley who was the last person to wear this collection on the red carpet.
What do you think?
A step up or down from the London premiere?

Down.
Hair and makeup are nice. Stepdown from London. Too many creases.
Agreed! The jumpsuit also makes her body look short. Even on the model I can see this jumpsuit being problematic!
I am devastated! This jumpsuit looks poorly cut around the crotch of the model so on a ‘real’ person it’s disastrous. It also makes her legs look really short.
Yeah your right.. mind you kinda looks a bit creased in the croctchel region on the model too lol!
I think this edgier look , as compared to her previous angelic one, actually suits her better, def.prefer her more flattering hair and makeup here. Agree about the pants, if only they were better tailored for her and not so badly creased, but it`s a great look for her (better than the lined bridal) nevertheless.
+1
Rooney Mara is not Swedish, she is born, raised and lives in America?
Thanks I was thinking of Noomi Rapace….
I would have loved this if it had been fitted right, especially in the crotch area, which, as others have already pointed out, is bad even on the model. Love the hair and makeup – but overall, a missed opportunity!
+1 completely.
I like the idea she was going for with this look but creases are never good.
I like it- step up, sans the wrinkles.
Very very down. I think this is awful, really, so unflattering.
anything would be a step down from london, she was utterly perfect. i like the idea here, but the execution is a failure.
a big NO.
Like her hair better without those nasty bangs but…NO! This is _horrible_! :O Ill-fitting, bizarre…such a shame.
Shame about the fit; it could have been such a cool look.

From the waist up, I like it. From the waist down, I don’t. Still, I’m impressed at how sweet and pretty she has managed to make herself look, considering the severity of her haircut and the colour of her outfit.
You took the words right out of my mouth!
She looks good, but it’s not as hard a look to pull off as what she did for the opening, so my vote goes to the white Givenchy. Plus I don’t look it when feet are completely obscured by trouser legs.
I like this look a lot. Sure, I would have liked it more if there weren’t so many visible creases, but they don’t bother me that much. However, in no way is this look better than the London premiere one. That Givenchy dress was amazing and she looked stunning in it.
awful!
I think this is one of those cases of clothes that doesn’t work in real life – even if it’s red carpet real life – because they crease, don’t fit, etc.
Does she ever smiles?
agree with you on the outfit but i love her. she is so pretty!
This is comically bad.
I am agreeing with you completely FC. The look is let down by the creased pants. A better fit and sans creases Rooney could really rock this jumpsuit! The first thing I thought was Kiera Knightly with the hair as well. A big step down from London for me, she was flawless in Givenchy Couture.
I actually think the idea of this look suits her well. The fit and creases let her down. If it had been tailored impeccably and uncreased I would have swooned for her in this.
