‘Tis the season to wear sequin dresses, so Emmy Rossum obliged us at ‘The Ripple Effect’ charity dinner, which took place at the Sunset Luxe Hotel in LA this season.
The ‘Shameless’ actress wore a Naven electric blue long sleeve mini dress.
Whilst it’s covered up at the front, the plunging v-back shows off her sexy side.
Unlike Hilary Swank earlier, Emmy opted to keep her open back clear by wearing her hair in a simple updo.
Chopard diamond cluster earrings and uninspiring Brian Atwood black pumps completed her look.

Ohhh too bad for the shoes, because i adore this dress and styling on Emmy from the ankles up. Pretty, classy and sexy all at once.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly.
+4. Otherwise she looks great.
I agree. Why wear boring black pumps with such a beautiful dress?
I was in love with this look and then I saw the shoes. Taken about 3 off that choice. With all the (sample) sales recently she couldn’t gotten a more interesting pair of shoes?
Her and/or Nina Dobrev would be great candidates for shoe swap.
Shame about the shoes. Why go to the trouble of wearing such a classy, showstopping dress and then kill it off with boring shoes?
This is a super fabb and stunning dress! Love thissss ☺
a sexy pair of silver strappy sandals would have been perfect, from the ankles up she looks fantastic though.
Honestly I don’t mind the shoes, but I don’t like the hair, too high. I love long sleeves dresses, I love sequins and blue electric, so I think this dress is really beautiful. She’s lovely as always.
Just like everyone else, I was in love with this until I saw the shoes. Way to kill a gorgeous look.
I just loved it. This is the moment when you forgive the shoes cause the ankle-up is so gorgeous.
i love the dress but wow, it doesn’t look like it fits emmy at all
Adorable dress, the sexy open back, but both the dull shoes and the granny hairstyle bring it down for me.
This doesn’t feel like Emmy to me. I love sequins and bright blue, but for some reason this feels like Vegas showgirl!
She looks gorgeous and the styling is great – minus the shoes. I wish she had paired this dress with the some Miu Miu glitter pumps
from the ankles up this is divine so i will forgo the unfortunate shoe choice! i love her hair and earrings
I can understand why I would wear black pumps with a lot of looks-the fact that they go easy from office to night and that I don’t have shoe closet size of Blake Lively, but seriously, at least black strappy sandals!
Not a fan of the shoes and the hair isn’t great but not too bad either. She looks lovely in the dress
