Chanel Spring 2012 Press Preview

Chanel’s Spring 2012 press preview took place a few weeks ago in London.

I was excited to see the collection up close, especially the accessories as you can really appreciate the intricate workmanship and beauty of the pieces when you see them close up.

I loved the seashell clutches. I look forward to seeing them on the red carpet. Two were on display. My favourite was the pearl accented clutch.

The bag that is predicted to create the biggest buzz for Spring is the Chanel Cabas tote.

This new tote comes in five different sizes and four different colours, including red, grey, blue and ecru. Leather handles and a chain intertwined with a ribbon allow the bag to be carried in the hand or on the shoulder.

The tote features the interlocking double C motif and the legendary address of 31 rue Cambon in woven jacquard on a cotton canvas, with fine leather trims.

It is the perfect day to day accessory.

At some point I will own a Chanel even if it’s when I’m 90 and have no where to go or anyone to see, I’ll sit with it stroking it in front of the mirror. :)

Bags come and go but Chanel along with Hermes Kelly are still remain the ultimate in statement bag. That first bag could make a bin bag outfit look complete.

    those bags are just spectacular.

i love how overwhelmingly fantastic these accessories come off! it’s quite amazing that chanel can dive so deeply into a trend like this “under the sea” idea but then move so quickly to something completely different like their paris-bombay collection.

i’m still waiting for someone to mix and match accessories from this collection with clothes from that versace show.

I almost forgot how crazy I went for the seashell clutch after I had seen the show.
