Diane Kruger In Emilio Pucci – 2011 Unicef Ball

Diane Kruger showcased a slightly darker hair colour on the red carpet at the 2011 UNICEF Ball which took place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in LA last night.

The German actress gave us our second look at the Emilio Pucci Spring 2012 collection.

She opted to wear a black halter dress with a tiered skirt with lace frills and a sheer base.

Through her sheer skirt we can see that Diane opted for red Brian Atwood ‘Marcella’ pumps, like the model on the runway, which matched her red nails.

A gold Ferragamo clutch, gold earrings and a ponytail with a few pieces framing her face completed Diane’s welcome back to the red carpet look.

Is this BDOTW worthy for you?

This was my favorite dress from the S12 collection! I’m so happy it was Diane that wore this first! I love everything, the only thing I would perhaps change would maybe choose darker eyeshadow but other than that perfect!

Stunning. This was one of my favourite looks from the Pucci S/S 2012 collection, a collection that I think on the whole leaned a little heavily towards the literal in its gypsy inspiration. This captures the essence of that theme, but presents it in a less obvious way. Diane Kruger wears this beautifully – she has the height to showcase the gorgeous tiers on that skirt and has styled the look to perfection. Definite BDOTW contender.

Of course this is BDOTW worthy. I love this look just as much as I love this woman.

  4. Ade December 9, 2011 at 10:20 #

YES!!!! BDOTW. This is what Blake Lively thinks she dresses like because she doesn’t have a “stylist”

  5. jessica December 9, 2011 at 10:51 #

    no.
stop parties and make some good movies, please!

    • Luiza December 9, 2011 at 12:22 #

She does really good movies. Look for it on imdb before saying Things like That

      • bm December 9, 2011 at 14:07 #

I’m sorry, but diane indeed rarely made a good movies (exception for Inglourious Basterds and Troy).

I think many of us are biased when it comes to Diane, but this particular look is not BDOTW worthy in my opinion.
I love the red shoes + nails, but the overall look feels a little fussy. Also, I’m not too keen on her hair.

    • bm December 9, 2011 at 11:45 #

      +1.

    • dee December 9, 2011 at 12:56 #

I agree. I think the dress is fussy as well and overwhelms her a bit. Also, I think it should be fitted more at the bust area. This is not one of her best moments.

i agree. i also get a bit of a French Maid vibe from the dress.

      • EmmaWoodhouse December 9, 2011 at 19:51 #

+1! I usually love what Diane wears but the sheer skirt is killing it for me. Love the red shoes though!

    • Parvati December 9, 2011 at 15:39 #

      I agree.

    • Linda December 9, 2011 at 15:42 #

Yup, you said what I was thinking, Nat. The red shoes and nails are great and she always wears clothes well, but this isn’t one of her finest moments and considering what a strong week we’ve had should not be put up for BDOTW.

      • Wenn December 10, 2011 at 21:56 #

The runway version is gorgerous, but it’s not working on her. I think she is not tall enough to handle the dress.

  7. Kennedy December 9, 2011 at 11:25 #

    Perfection!

  8. Luiza December 9, 2011 at 12:20 #

Not My favorite look from her, but she still looks amazing. I was missing My muse <3

  9. CreoleLady December 9, 2011 at 13:00 #

I prefer the punk rock styling and feel of the runway. La Kruger has taken the edge off but still looks good. In any other week, a worthy BDOTW contender. This week? There are so many stunners to choose from this week that I would not be surprised if this look doesn’t make it.

  10. Alina December 9, 2011 at 13:19 #

No. I wouldn’t say this is one of her best looks.

    • Anna December 9, 2011 at 14:29 #

I agree. It’s the first time in a long while that I’m not fond of something Diane is wearing.

  11. Saran December 9, 2011 at 14:05 #

Someone else in her shoes would have ruined this look.. She totally pulls it off.. BDOTW definitely.. She’s ma best..

  12. Nia December 9, 2011 at 14:06 #

I love the little flash of red underneath from the shoes. And she wears this whole look so much better than the model.

  13. Emi December 9, 2011 at 14:15 #

Diane is always BDOTW worthy!!! Beautiful dress and I like the red shoes.

  14. fromchi-town December 9, 2011 at 14:41 #

It is FC. Please include it in BDOTW. I know I am biased towards Diane – but I love the hair and the dress. And the conviction with which she poses is enough for BDOTW.

  15. jennesia December 9, 2011 at 15:48 #

    She’s not selling it.

  16. Hisadora December 9, 2011 at 16:14 #

That’s funny because yesterday I was just thinking about why she disappeard from the red carpet!
This dress looks beautiful.. make up and hair flawless as usual.

  17. MG December 9, 2011 at 17:01 #

I love her but this is not BDOTW worthy. no wow factor for me

  18. Lucía December 9, 2011 at 18:24 #

Not the best look from DIane in my opinion

  19. gurlygurl December 10, 2011 at 00:01 #

This woman has the presence to make a paper bag BDOTW worthy. Divine… looks just as lovely on Diane as it does on the runway. Love the red shoes too!

  20. Shaina December 10, 2011 at 00:28 #

I would prefer a more interesting hairstyle and a different clutch, but I do love this, and the red shoes are a great touch.
