Viola Davis was not to be outdone by the younger actresses on the red carpet at The Hollywood Reporter’s Annual Women In Entertainment Breakfast, which took place at the Beverly Hills Hotel in LA this morning.
She looked drop-dead gorgeous wearing a BCBG Max Azria Spring 2012 dress, which is our first look at this collection on the red carpet.
Her v-neck colour blocked dress was paired with some delightful caramel Alejandro Ingelmo ‘Sophia’ platform pumps.
I hope whoever did her hair and makeup on this occasion stays with her until after awards season, because in that department she is flaw-free.

How to Achieve the Classic Blowout

Wow, she looks sensational!
You really like Viola don’t you? So do I !
I do. So elegant and not given enough credit for her talent
I agree- she was brilliant in Doubt and she consistently dresses well on the red carpet and I love that she isn’t afraid to wear colour.
Me too, she gave such a great performance in Doubt, a completely deserved Oscar nomination. I think this is such an unexpected look form her, it is just wonderful. She really breathes new life into the dress. My only issue with her is her haircut. I don’t understand it, it makes her look so much older than she actually is. She suits longer hair much better, imo, but other than that, flawless.
Her hair and makeup are fantastic! I’m not sure I like the way the dress fits her though, particularly in the chest area. She’s had much better looks.
yep. i am not sure this is the right dress for her. She is so classy and elegant, this would look better on somebody like Bosworth…
Agreed! The dress isn’t a fail for me but it lacks the grace I’m used to from Viola. She still looks lovely though.
The pumps are a good choice but I just don’t like this dress. It seems sloppy to me, though Viola looks better than the model.
I love Viola probably more than I love Keira. She’s such a beautiful, three-dimensions woman. And her skin is flawless.
Lovely look from a great actress and lady. I want more!
I like the dress on Viola much better than on the model.
She brings it to life.
I couldn’t like the hair although I tried hard after your comment FC. She has looked way better before “in that department”. I liked the dress though.
I love the dress and her makeup but I think her hair is horrible! It looks like a mushroom on her head! I much prefer previous styles she’s had.
I love Viola’s work, but none of this is working for me.
I think the dress looks a little sloppy and unflattering and the hair looks like a helmet.
I agree.
I agree. The whole look is a fail.
She looks amazing. She is always very chic!
