I recently attended the H&M Spring 2012 press preview which also housed the Versace for H&M Resort 2012 collection.

For spring, H&M will be serving up sharp and soft shapes, which are tailored and fluid with romantic femininity.

On the Spring 2012 runway we saw plenty of sporty apparel, so it wasn’t a surprise to see that H&M have followed the trend.

The preview included a lot of minimal, sporty chic pieces with a lot of white looks with beautiful pops of lime green, lemon, orange and purple.

Colour blocking and prints also featured. One of my favourite items was a floral-print tunic dress, which can be paired with the taupe pants for a mix-and-match look.

The accessories were just as colourful, with green pumps and bright pink ankle boots on display. Flatforms will continue to be popular for Spring 2012, which were presented alongside two-tone strappy sandals.

Transitional knits, biker vests, slouchy palazzo pants, sharp skirt suits, kimono-style draped jackets, wrap dresses and rompers were also present in the preview.

The Versace for H&M Resort 2012 collection was full of raspberry, strawberry and blackberry prints on a white, pink and blue colour palette.

Some of the babydoll dresses could easily be worn as night dresses as they have a sexy boudoir feel.

Printed denim hot pants, white jeans with gold embroidered side seams, bikinis, ballet pumps, strappy sandals – this time in gold and berry prints – plus a lot more jewelry will be coming your way soon.
