Freida Pinto was one of the many stars to sit front row at the Chanel Paris-Bombay Pre-Fall 2012 presentation which took place at the Grand Palais in Paris yesterday.
The Indian beauty wore a sky-blue Chanel Spring 2012 dress with spaghetti straps.
She tried to tone down the girlie nature of this dress by adding black Roger Vivier open-toe ‘Prismick’ booties and a thick patent navy belt, but I prefer the softer approach on the runway.
Freida accessorized with a diamond-encrusted bracelet and an onyx ring.
Naturally wavy tresses, kohl-rimmed eyes and nude lips completed her look.

This dress isn’t doing it for me. It looks a little unkempt or sloppy. The booties don’t help.
+1. A rare fail for Freida.
It looks like a completely different dress on Freida…and not in a good way.
I usually like her style, but she ruined the dress, with the belt and the hair, most of all.
i agree. it’s such a beautiful dress but the belt is garish…
I usually like what she wears, but this is a total mess. The look on the runway was perfection.
I agree. For me, she completely ruined the dress.
I think the dress is a mess. And even if she took the runaway look, i don’t think it going to work either.
Looks better on the runway.
She might as well had worn sneakers as she looks like a 14 years-old trying to look “rocker”. Totally ruined the dress.
I never knew a person could look that cheap in Chanel.
Not loving it. The booties kind of ruin this for me.
hot mess – I never thought I’d say that about Freida. This hair and make-up tell me is skinny jeans and Balmain jacket. I really dislike the dress on runway as well, it just looks cheap
Don’t like the styling at all, but that is a magnificent bracelet.
About all I can say is I like the color on her.
Looks great on the model, cheap on Freida. What happened?
Agreed… the fabric looks very different, the detail is lost and the accessories are unfortunate.
It looks too heavy. I didn’t like the runway jacket but overall the runway styling suited the light, airy, femenine feel better.
She convinced me here. I didn’t care for the presentation on the runway. She really brought this look together with the lazy hair, belt and booties. It gives the look a casual edge.
The models styling is beautiful, I wished Freida had followed that lead.
I have to say, I’m not loving this look at all. Freida is trying her best to work it, but her hair is a mess and she looks like she’s going to prom instead of attending a Chanel fashion show. Also, she, for some odd reason, is letting her spaghetti straps hang down. For such an interesting, frilly dress, she should have kept everything else simple. I would’ve loved to see her in a clean bun, natural make-up, subtle jewels, strappy sandals, and sans belt.
