Nicki Minaj attended Billboard’s 6th Annual Women in Music event on Friday in New York City.
The eccentric singer was surprisingly toned down, by her standards, wearing a Versace Resort 2012 gown.
Her form-fitting black-and-white gown was accented with gold grommet details.
Nicki added some pops of colour to her look by adding mint-green eye liner with aqua blue nails and a bright bubblegum pink lip shade.
She channelled her inner Daryl Hannah from Splash by opting for a blonde crimped wig with blunt bangs.
Whilst I like the dress and I’m thankful that it fits, unlike Blake Lively’s shorter version of it, I don’t like the hair.
The front is T-Boz from TLC, the back is a hot mess.

The hair is a little too mermaidy but I like the rest.

I agree. Nicki usually sports funny hair colours and she always pulls the most extravagant hairstyles off. Unfortunately this is not the case.
Her hair is awful…. I mean that wig has a mullet… and it’s combined wit’ Darryl Hannah’s hair from Splash????…. and if you thought the hair was bad…. the makeup is worse….. it is one of the worst makeup jobs I’ve ever seen…. and I don’t even wear makeup….
The dress is fabulous on her (sorry blake lively, but pushing your tits up and just irks me), but like you FC, I don’t like the hair.
I wish Blake LIvely opted for this version because Nicki’s hair ruined the whole look. What a pity!

I think compared to her usual “costumes” this is actually a great look for her. The dress fits nicely, it’s still somewhat funky but not totally out there and her hair is part of her persona.
She is far away from bein funny, she has become ridiculous
