Emily Blunt in Giambattista Valli – 2011 Kennedy Center Honors Gala Dinner

Emily Blunt attended the 2011 Kennedy Center Honors Gala in Washington, D.C. on Saturday night with husband, John Kransinski.

The British actress wore a fuchsia Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2011 gown.

It is always a nice change to see such a bright tone on the carpet, and Emily shines in this pink colour.

With her pale skin and new, darker do, we cannot think of a more flattering tone.

An asymmetrical updo to match asymmetrical shoulders and a black Just Fabulous clutch complete the look.

That dress is divine. She looks divine. My one quibble is I wish her hair was side parted, it looks center-parted to me here.

Her hair is bothering me too, it looks a little frizzy. Love the dress on her, she often wears nude and blush colored gowns which wash her out.

You know the dress is good, when you are looking at it instead of the Krasinski! ^^

She looks incredibly beautiful! This colour is one of my all time favs – Halle Berry wears this shade too and looks amazing.
The dress fits her perfectly and the style/cut is wonderful. Love the detail of the satin belt.

What a beautiful dress! I love the colour. Maybe is too early to say this, but this could be a BDOTW!

It`s totally BDOTW worthy for me. Very well done, the asymmetrical updo works perfectly with the gown, and the simple black clutch is all that`s needed here.

I adore this dress. Emily looks beautiful. Would have prefered a prettier clutch, not black.

    • Nat December 5, 2011 at 23:01 #

I totally agree about the clutch. I wish she would have picked a colour other than black.

That detail aside, this look is stunning! The dress is amazing, and she looks beautiful.

    don’t like the hair

  12. Paddy M December 5, 2011 at 14:41 #

This is the best she’s ever looked. I love the dress, the hair and the lip colour. This ought to be up for BDOTW. I think this is gonna take some beating for me.

Gorgeous dress, the colour is perfect for her and the neck detail is lovely. What a well dressed event.

i totally agree. maybe because it’s related to politics they all classed it up.

  15. EmmaWoodhouse December 5, 2011 at 17:39 #

Wow, Emily looks amazing. I loved Taylor Swift in Oscar de la Renta but if they were both up for BDOTW it would be hard to pick! I don’t really love her hairstyle, but other than it’s a ten out of ten!

FC you have to see the Marchesa Notte dress she wore it was the same color but strapless with a bodice detail and looked amazing on her

  17. Alina December 5, 2011 at 18:34 #

The hair could have been better. The dress is stunning.

  18. Jennifer December 5, 2011 at 19:39 #

You should see her in the Pink Marchesa she wore as well… it’s an even better look than this one!

  19. gurlygurl December 5, 2011 at 23:21 #

She looks so different here. Her face looks much fuller. Is she expecting?
Love the dress, but not the hair so much.
