Melanie Laurent opted for a simple look whilst attending the Burberry Celebrates Paris Boutique Opening in Paris yesterday evening.
The French actress wore a mid-length classic Burberry trench with black leather studded gloves, an olive purse and snakeskin peep-toes.
Everything about this look seems too oversized.
The trench makes the petite actress look boxy and shapeless, whilst the oversized purse, carried as a clutch, adds to the illusion.
Her snakeskin shoes are a fun addition to the look, however.
A messy updo completes the look.

Each single piece, by itself, is beautiful. Expecially the trench.
But this look is a disaster: everything is too big, and her head, in comparison, looks so tiny. Odd!
I agree with you. Didn’t Burberry have a trench of her size? Plus, I think that the only shoulder bag that can be carried on a red carpet is the 2.55 by Chanel. Red carpets need clutches and little purses. A huge miss from her, in my opinion.
if she accessorized with Bradley Cooper, everything would have worked. haha
Oversized is the right word to describe this look.
Yes but the French girls know perfectly how to seduce a man (in that case Bradley) and wearing simple clothes,contrary to American girls. But indeed, this look is too oversized
It just looks like someone wearing outer winterwear over a dress. It’s bulky like there’s a dress under there and she’s wearing this to keep warm.
Too big and too shiny is how I’d describe the trench and the purse. Doesn’t seem Melanie was too serious about her outfit or the social function. But … isn’t she naturally beautiful? She’s got that je nais se quoi for sure. From J. Lo to this girl – Mr. Cooper gets an upgrade.
