Heidi Klum In Balenciaga – ‘Shine’ Walgreens Time Square Fragrance Launch

Heidi Klum continued to promote her fragrance, ‘Shine’, with a launch event in Walgreens in Time Square, New York City, yesterday afternoon.

She wore a Balenciaga Fall 2011 dress.

Once again I have some styling issues with Heidi, because I’m not a fan of mixing the Christian Louboutin ‘Maggie’ animal-print pumps with the lizard-wrapped-in-vines print of her silk dress.

The prints are fighting for my attention. I don’t know where to look first.

If she wanted to make a statement with her shoes, I would’ve preferred her to wear the electric-blue YSL Palais pumps to complement the blue print on her dress.

The animal print clashes and was a bad choice in my opinion.

A leather belt and a simple updo completed her look.

The belt is an odd choice as well. It looks as though it is just sitting there, slung low but not particularly serving any purpose. I would’ve thought that a better choice would be a belt that sits tighter on the waist, rather than this do-nothing number. I think she may have added the belt to “match” the shoes. Total misstep for me. The print on the dress is divine though – one of the strongest prints shown on the Fall 2011 runways if you ask me. Just such a shame that Heidi is unable to pull if off particularly well.

I’m biased toward leopard print so I don’t mind the shoes at all. I respect Heidi for not being so boring Hollywood with her shoe choices.

Not her best and her hair looks bland too.

don’t mind her shoes…but that belt is the real problem

I actually like the loose belt, it works perfectly for this kind of light relaxed dress, lovely hair and makeup and bracelet but the shoes are def. a let down – they do not work with the print or lightness of the dress whatsoever.

I actually like the outfit. I really don’t mind the shoes with this dress – on the contrary, I think the blue and the animal print go well with the blue and print details on the dress. It’s only the belt that looks a bit odd to me, but still, I think it’s a really good look.

I don’t like the shortened length…..at all, complete miss for me as I do like the runway version.

For once I really like everything about her look. The print on the dress is great.
