Giovanna Battaglia attended the Dior pop-up shop featuring Anselm Reyle for Dior at Miami Design District in Miami City on Tuesday night.
The L’Uomo Vogue editor and freelance stylist is just the latest fashionista to step out in one of Antonio Berardi’s designs, wearing a mint dress with silver and emerald colour-blocking detail from the designer’s Spring 2012 collection.
While the runway model sported an emerald clutch and shoes to highlight the dress’ bright waist accent, we prefer Giovanna’s editorial styling.
The minimal makeup, undone hair, glittery silver pumps, a wristful of bracelets and statement necklace actually make the look more stylish, rather than cheapening it.
Which do you prefer – the matchy-matchy runway look or Giovanna’s editorial styling?

I could do without the accessories, but I have to say that dress is gorgeous.
Yes, it is, and the colour is wonderful for her. I’m trying to picutre it with way less accessories, esp. the necklace.
I actually think the way in which Giovanna has accessoried this look has cheapened it, especially with those stacked bracelets. They look downright cheap. And in turn the dress looks nowhere near as slick as it does on the runway. The necklace is unnecessary (and obscured in fact) and whilst I don’t mind the shoes, I much prefer the coherence that the runway accessories give this look.
I clearly prefer Giovanna’s styling!..it is more fashion forward. The dress fits her perfectly and gives her a great figure!
+1
While I prefer the matchy matchy runway styling, the dress looks much better on Giovanna, what a beautiful figure!
Gio’s styling wins for me. I love the addition of the necklace, when i saw the pic i thought it was a part of the dress at first.
Much prefer the runway styling – I am in love with that metallic color. The dress does fit better on Giovanna’s curves, although (in addition to keeping the shoes from the runway) I wish she’d pulled her hair back.
I agree, love the runway styling.
I much prefer her styling. I would like to see this in the BDOTW poll… Beautiful colour.
I prefer Giovanna’a shoes but the necklace, bracelets and hair are not working with the dress.
+1 completely. I am in love with this dress.
i like the way the dress fits her incredibly well, but i think i might prefer the runway styling. I am at odds about the necklace….
Beautiful colour for her.
I prefer the silver for now, the green shoes would look nice in spring. It’s a lovely dress.
It’s the fit more than anything that makes me like Giovanna’s look the best
Her body looks insane in that dress and the shoes are great. I only wish she had gone for a slightly messy ponytail instead, but she really hit it out of the park in my opinion.
She does look amazing in the dress, but I do prefer the runway choices. The accessories was a bit too much, especially the necklace.
While I do like the runway styling, it`s a kind of styling that probably wouldn`t have worked that well off the runway. So, it was smartly and beautifully modified by Giovanna, I like her version.
