The Valentino Resort 2012 collection is having a bit of a moment on the red carpet.

Elizabeth Olsen glided down the red carpet at the 21st Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York City last night, wearing our third look from the collection in four days.

This soft grey embroidered gown with a stripped skirt is beautiful on Elizabeth as she continues to wow and delight on the red carpet.

I love her soft curls which she sweeps up into a retro updo.

Her makeup is complementary to her look, as is her champagne colour satin clutch, but we’ve seen this look on the red carpet before.

You may remember that Michelle Yeoh wore it to the Rome Film Festival.

Nevertheless, this look ranks in the top three of my favourites from her this year.

When Kate Hudson arrived on stage at the Savoy Hotel in London wearing a Stella McCartney Spring 2012 gown at the 2011 British Fashion Awards to present the Red Carpet Award, it was a clear indication of who the winner would be.

Before she handed out the award she told us a story about how they first met when Stella dressed her for the 2001 Oscars, which she read from her iPhone while wearing glasses.

She recalled, “Stella dressed me for my first red carpet event in 2001 for the Academy Awards. It was my first and only nomination. I was 21 years old and to have Stella McCartney dressing me – well, I felt like the hippest, coolest girl in the world. Up until the last minute Stella was still sewing the hem. I woke up the next morning, turned on the television to find out I was on every Worst Dressed list. So I called Stella and we just laughed our arses off and she said to me, “Look babe, it was the hem wasn’t it?”

She then went on to say that she will wear the dress again, but she will make a better hair choice.

Kate has no fear of appearing on any worst dressed list this time because her body, despite giving birth to Bingham five months ago, looked amazing in her black one-shoulder gown with an embroidered detail and mesh panel.

She wore her blonde hair in a top knot and opted for dewy makeup.

Many of you have been very critical of Stella McCartney’s Spring 2012 collection.

Tilda Swinton arrived on the red carpet at the 21st Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards, which were held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City last night, wearing her favourite designer: Haider Ackermann.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving and the collaboration that never gets tiring.

Tilda is the perfect muse for the designer, as she wears his pieces so well.

A case in point, this androgynous Spring 2012 look, which consists of a sequined blazer with satin lapels, a sheer blouse and tapered pants, was made for her, but I wish she’d opted for the full runway look.

The only other person I see wearing this exact look, sans black pumps and with tighter pants, is Steven Tyler.

Pomellato rings and a shimmering pink lip colour completed her look.

Olivia Palermo attended the 2011 British Fashion Awards which were held at the Savoy Hotel in London last night.

The star wore a Matthew Williamson Fall 2011 dress.

Her wool-crepe dress with beaded, sequin and feather appliqués was teamed with a vintage clutch and Topshop Ariel flame mesh ankle boots.

With so much detail on the dress, most would’ve have opted for a simple shoe, but Olivia isn’t called the Queen of Accessorizing for nothing.

A simple centre-parted low bun, dazzling Asprey earrings and smoky dark purple eye shadow completed her look.
