Last night I attended the launch party to celebrate Emily Johnston of Fashion Foie Gras’ Coach ‘Fashion blogger’ bag.

Emily was super excited to work with the iconic American brand.

She said, “Since being given the opportunity to design a bag with Coach, my feet haven’t touched the ground! Coach is the pinnacle of luxury and sophistication. Designing a bag with a brand that I have always held in such high regard has been the most nerve-racking, but also the most exhilarating, experience of my life. I couldn’t be prouder or more pleased with what we have produced.”

Emily is a regular on the Fashion Week circuit so she knows it is challenging to find a chic yet functional bag.

What I love about this Coach bag is that Emily cleverly designed it to have a separate compartment for your SLR camera (every fashion blogger has one) and your flat shoes when you just can’t take walking in heels anymore between shows.

The bag also has several compartments inside for your show notes, iPad and mobile phone, plus it has a detachable clutch.

Even though it was designed for fashion bloggers, its functionality will work for everyone.

Inside the party, Emily was seen clutching her beloved bag which I can’t wait to tote around Fashion Week.

Party-goers enjoyed the drinks and canapés whilst Mademoiselle Robot was spinning the decks. The photobooth was a fun touch to take a souvenir from the night.

We also got to see the moodboard which provided the inspiration for the bag.

The bag is available from the Coach flagship store on New Bond Street and will be available to order internationally online at Coach.com from November 30th.

Ciara wore this Christopher Kane Fall 2011 dress to the Station Invasion Concert tour in New York City back in August.

The singer is well known for her rock-hard abs, so it was no surprise that she picked the revealing frock.

The only thing missing from her dress was the gel-filled PVC trims which were a signature of the collection.

Christian Louboutin Daffodil pumps and hot pink lips completed her look.

British singer Ellie Goulding wore the same dress to the 2011 American Music Award on Sunday.

Whilst she also has impressive abs, she doesn’t quite sell this look for me like Ciara did, even though she also wore Louboutins and carried an edgy Lulu Guinness black studded lips clutch.

Ciara wins for simply having more presence.

Salma Hayek was in France on Sunday night for the ‘Puss in Boots’ Paris premiere.

The actress wore Yves Saint Laurent from head to toe, pairing a dress from the Edition Soir 2011 collection with the YSL Tribtoo platform pumps in black patent leather.

The black taffeta and velvet dress is a perfect choice for the fun, kid-centered event, while front pockets give a modern and edgy touch.

Loose curls and natural makeup completed the look.

With the holidays right around the corner, here’s a trend to put at the top of your wish list: the leather-sleeved coat/jacket.

Leather is a chic yet rough fabric that adds edge to even the most feminine pieces.

Both on and off the red carpet, celebrities like Zoe Saldana, Ciara, Elizabeth Olsen and Rihanna have been spotted wearing this sleek and sophisticated look.

The trend was big on the Fall 2011 runway at The Row, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Zero + Maria Cornejo.

Pair your leather sleeves with simple jeans like Zoe did in her Roland Mouret jacket or toughen the look up in head-to-toe black like Rihanna in Givenchy.

Elizabeth Olsen dressed up her Helmut Lang number with a Preen skirt and heels.

The fur accents on Ciara’s Helmut Lang jacket add a chic winter vibe to the trend.

Andrea Riseborough attended the premiere of her new film ‘Resistance’ held at the Curzon Mayfair in London on Sunday evening.

The actress wore a red Andrew Gn shift dress, paired with black pumps and simple hoop earrings.

The December 2011 cover star of Harper’s Bazaar looks sophisticated in the knee-length dress with classic Andrew Gn lantern sleeve detailing.

Severe hairstyling and unispiring shoes, however, age the actress.

Loose waves and lengthening nude heels may have helped.
