Leona Lewis hosted an evening to benefit the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary in LA this weekend.

The British singer, who’s often hit or miss on the red carpet, was a hit on this occasion, dress-wise.

She donned a Claire Pettibone gown.

The designer known for her bridal gowns created this beautiful embellished gown with flutter sleeves and a plunging neckline for the singer.

I like the candy-pink lips, but I’m not sure I like the casual ponytail with her elegant gown.

Vogue’s Senior Market Editor, Meredith Melling Burke, and Jeff Rudes, CEO of J Brand, hosted a dinner for Christopher Kane to celebrate the launch of the J Brand / Christopher Kane Collection in New York City recently.

The forever-stylish Meredith wore a Christopher Kane Fall 2011 black crepe dress with green gel-filled PVC trims, whilst Christopher wore a shimmering tri-colour Prada Fall 2011 top.

This Christopher Kane for J Brand Resort 2012 collection combines J Brand’s denim expertise with Kane’s innovative designs and love for neon colours.

The collection includes original fit jeans and denim jackets in bold neon colours, crisp black and white, and vintage medium and dark denim washes.

If you are wondering how to work these neon jeans, check out Caroline Sieber, Hanneli Mustaparta and Dree Hemingway who all provide interesting and workable ways to incorporate these bold hues into our closet.

Do you see yourself donning neon denim?

You can shop this collection now at Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International.

After wearing Chanel and Stephane Rolland the night before, Lady Gaga was out again last night in New York City to celebrate yet another collaboration: the ‘Lady Gaga x Terry Richardson’ book launch party.
This time the singer donned a Dolce & Gabbana dress.

The full-length black lace dress with a plastic flower on the shoulder, which left little to the imagination, was typically Gaga: revealing, shocking and treading a fine line between being sassy and tacky.

You decide.

I think this signature Dolce & Gabbana sexy black lace dress it’s quite tame by her standards. I think she totally pulls it off without looking tacky.

She could have been covered in talcum powder or she could’ve gone commando under her dress, so I admire her restraint.

The singer accessorized with leather opera gloves, shades and the same Norikaka Tatehana platforms with gold studded details she wore the night before.

Red lips and a bouffant with a side-swept ponytail completed her look.

Florence Welch was in New York City yesterday for a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ with her band Florence and the Machine.

The band performed ‘Shake it Out’ from their new album ‘Ceremonials’.

Florence looked divine wearing a Zuhair Murad Resort 2012 gown.

This long-sleeve floral-print silk-chiffon gown fits her performance aesthetic perfectly as it’s roomy, floaty, eye-catching and colourful with draped details for dramatic effect.

You may remember that Carrie Underwood also wore this same floral print whilst presenting the 2011 CMA Awards earlier this month.

Emily Mortimer opted for a soft, ethereal look on the red carpet at the ‘Hugo’ LA premiere on Monday night.

The British actress wore a heavenly blush Valentino Spring 2012 gown with lemon and black embroidered details.

Whilst the gown is beautiful, there is something missing.

It bugged me for a while, but I think she needed to add a belt to define her waist, or a contrasting-coloured clutch to breathe some life into the look.

The nude pumps don’t help prevent it from feeling a tad one note.

Smoky eyes and wavy locks completed the look.

Gorgeous or washed out?
