Serena Williams In Donna Karan – 25th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards

Serena Williams put her best foot forward on the red carpet for the 25th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York City last night.

She wore a gorgeous pair or gold metallic bow front Giuseppe Zanotti heels, but it’s her Donna Karan dress which has my jaw on the floor.

There is no denying that this rich red jersey dress is hugging her in all the right places creating a beautiful feminine silhouette.

My issue is the makeup.

I hope she applied it herself because no self-respecting ‘artist’ should be applying foundation that far away from her hairline.

This is a small blip on an otherwise flawless turn on the red carpet for Serena.

Corkscrew tight curls, a pink lip colour and a gold necklace completed her look.

You can buy Serena’s Donna Karan dress from Matches Fashion.

makeup aside, this is the best she’s every looked!
she should stick to this silhouette and lose the tight minis she seems to love

Love love love the dress and shoes!! Aside from the poor foundation job I like the rest of her makeup! this is a great look for her

Her body looks bananas! For me,the makeup isn’t that bad,it just needs to be blended better.

She never seems to fully get it right. It’s either the makeup, the outfit or both.

That DK dress looks fab on her, I love it.

FYI- Her shoes are Giuseppe Zanotti, not Valentino.

i usually don’t care about her style (and venus’ too) but serena is looking really good here, i’ll give her that

put some makeup on that chest!

I really don’t like the shoes. The colour and fabric and style of them ameks them look cheap. Strappy sansals would have been divine.
I also am not a fan of the makeup, but I think it was more contouring, ither blusher or bronzer, which gives the face a more 3D effect, it is divine when done with subtlety, but it looks awfulhere, adn the brows have been filled in in such a way that they look full on fake.

Love the dress, but not so big on the shoes.

What a shame about the make up because that dress does look amazing on her!

I think she looks great neck down. Love the fit on her and thank god she chose interesting shoes. It is va-va-voom and I love it 🙂

Finally she wears something that suits her frame.

The dress looks smokin’ on her. Not sure about the shoes, a little too “blingy”.

the dress is perfect for her figure, it’s feminine & sexy. do’nt like her accessories. the necklace looks quite cheap and the shoes are soo tacky ! make up & hair are a disaster

Make-up is tragic. Does she not own a mirror? apart from that gorgeous. dress and shoes. Her body looks amazing.

Serena’s dress appears to be much simpler than the other. The neck ruffle appears to be gone, and that’s a good thing. I think she has lost a little weight and she does look awesome! That unfortunate makeup is very strange. It also seems to be appearing under her cheek bones… but still a stunner.

the foundation is such a mess!
but from the neck down, WOW! i was never a fan of anything serena wore and always thought that she can do better! this is definitely gorgeous 😀

The makeup issue aside, LOVE the dress on her, great colour, perfect length, fantastic fit. Could`ve done without the necklace.

i agree. she looks great and also good shoe choice

I’d take the necklace over the shoes- they’re just a touch over the top for me. Still, at least they’re not boring. The more I look at the pictures, I wonder if she just fell victim to misuse of the Makeup Forever HD Powder like many other stars before her- it can give a white cast to the skin when photographed if not blended properly.

It’s a pretty dress, but shes too va va for it. It cheapens the look. Not a fan of the hair. Agree about the makeup FC. Big fail.

No self-respecting ‘artist’ should be applying foundation that far away from her actual skin color either. Her skin color is too beautiful to be sullied with such awful makeup.

I like the dress and the shoes are much more interesting than the “go to” black or nude pump/ peep toe.
