Tilda Swinton In Haider Ackermann – 21st Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards

Tilda Swinton arrived on the red carpet at the 21st Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards, which were held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City last night, wearing her favourite designer: Haider Ackermann.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving and the collaboration that never gets tiring.

Tilda is the perfect muse for the designer, as she wears his pieces so well.

A case in point, this androgynous Spring 2012 look, which consists of a sequined blazer with satin lapels, a sheer blouse and tapered pants, was made for her, but I wish she’d opted for the full runway look.

The only other person I see wearing this exact look, sans black pumps and with tighter pants, is Steven Tyler.

Pomellato rings and a shimmering pink lip colour completed her look.

She looks fantastic but must say I like the runway version better as well.
I think Evan Rachel Woods would look just as great.

Yeah, that’s true, ERW would look great – LOL at Steven Tyler wearing this – I can totally see that.

+1 FC. The runway look was heaven. The stock ties weigh the whole front of this look down.

    love it!

I don’t think the runway top is her style.

I think she looks really good here (as she almost always does in Haider Ackermann), but I really can’t see her wearing the runway top! However, I would really like to see it worn on the red carpet, but not by Tilda, I think it’s not really her style.

I really like this on her, and i am rarely a fan. Agree about the runway top–don’t think I want to see that much skin on Tilda.

same here. I actually appreciate her modifications.

i love, love, love her in this look!! i would’ve love her even more in the shoes from the runway. she is one of the only women who could pull the top-to-toe look off!

she’s been sporting so much haider lately, i’ve almost forgotten what she looks like in jil sander.

I like her look more than the runway. I think she looks good.

I do like the runway look but I agree with others that have suggested that it isn’t her style. I really like how she looks but I think it would be even better without the tie

Looks plain ugly to me, unflattering and overly manly as per usual.

    1. She needs to go back to ginger.
    2. She was so, so, so, so, so much more deserving of the bristish fashion wards than Chung.

definitely agree, I’ve always admired Tilda’s style

Cool trench but the sheerness of the blouse she’s wearing I don’t like. It would have looked better with a smaller silk blouse. But yeah, perfect muse for this designer.

Haider Ackermann and Tila is high on my list with Chanel and Diane Kruger.

She looks amazing and the modifications are perfect because I have a hard time imagining her showing so much skin like on the runway.

      Tilda*** (sorry ’bout that)

LOL… yes Seteven Tyler would rock this look. I love the runway top too but I don’t see it on Tilda, she’s too masculine in her styling and that’s a little too young and girly. Having said that I love how she’s wearing it. There’s nothing typical about this lady and she’s one of the few who can make an ensemble like this work. Effortless!

I like love it! ….got nothing else to say
