Simply elegance was the winner this week, as you voted for Gillian Anderson who wore a white vintage Dior gown to InStyle Magazine’s 10th Anniversary Party.
It was the best she’s ever looked on the red carpet. Her beauty, much like those emerald Adler earrings, really shone through.
I went in the total opposite direction by voting for Nicki Minaj.
The singer donned an Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012 gown to the 2011 American Music Awards
Many of you wish she’d donned a black wig with this look. I’m glad she didn’t.
I love that she stayed true to herself wearing this sophisticated gown with her trademark pink wig whilst adding an edgy touch via her Alexander McQueen armour wedge sandals.

Nicki was my BDOTW too. I don’t usually like chokers but it definitely makes the look for her. And the shoes were an absolute terrific choice! She couldn’t walk in them at all and she changed into pumps later but she sure did look wonderful. Such fun looks are the best.

Good for you, FC! I wanted to vote for her, and agree that she looked fabulous. But those shoes are not something I can support, even in the name of fashion. I really object to shoes that make it impossible for a woman to stand up and walk without help. But the dress, the hair and the attitude–fabulous.

Two very deserving winners!! I must admit, I wasn’t sure about Nicki with the pink wig coupled with the beautiful green of the dress but I have absolutely come around to it, the pink is her signature and she owns it, I am glad she decided to stick. I don’t think anyone else could pull it off!! I am a huge Oscar fan and the dress looks really great on her

Nicki Minaj, this is a rare instance where a whacky look works perfectly for her. She found the perfect balanace. I love the pink wig with the green skirt too.

My vote went to Nicki too. The pink, black and green made perfect combination against her skin tone. Never thought Nicki would have looked so heavenly before. She really made everything work wo well.
