Jennifer Hudson graced the red carpet wearing a very different silhouette at the 2011 American Music Award, which were held at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in California last night.
The singer donned a Jenny Packham Fall 2011 mini dress.
Her platinum metallic jersey drape-front dress is a refreshing change to those fitted dresses she loves to wear.
Unfortunately the praise stops there.
I don’t know what possessed her to wear those Christian Louboutin Daffodile Strass gunmetal-grey pumps.
They are unappealing to start with but they also weigh down her look.
It’s such a huge shame because I like everything else that is going on here, especially the pink lip shade.

i don’t like this look at all, it lacks the classiness of her past runway looks imo!
it’s a bit too short on her. If dress the would have a bit longer i think all the drapings would have looked lovely. The colour is great for her.

What on earth was she thinking?? She has such an amazing body now and she decides to wear that?! No, she needs to fire her stylist!….. But I must admit, the heels are gorgeous and the pink lips do look good on her!

I love the makeup but I feel like that dress looks like it is from Forever21. It is too short and the shoes look terrible! She makes the weirdest shoe choices!
Agree, the dress looks a little cheap to me. Hair and makeup is beautiful though.

I hate this look. The dress is at least a size or two too small, the shoes are awful and you can see her Spanx… Seriously Jeniffer, we know you´ve lost weight (kudos for that- great job), but you don´t have to squeeze yourself into those tiny dresses to look sexy….

Not a fan of this look. Shoes are very clompy. I love how they look when you focus just on the shoe but they look like her feet are in a couple of boats. The dress is a beautiful color but the draping and cut does not work on her proportions. It’s too short and overall the look makes her appear very top heavy.
I actually think That is the way to wear those shoes. with a short dress as it does not over power the dress or a pantsuit.
