Gemma Arterton attended the 57th Evening Standard Awards at the Savoy Hotel in London last night.
She donned a chic all black ensemble with a touch of bedazzlement.
The former Bond girl wore a black Viktor & Rolf Fall 2011 tuxedo jacket with satin lapels which she paired with a Balmain Spring 2012 embellished top.
At a press day in London last week I was fortunate enough to see the Balmain Spring 2012 collection up close. The embellishments actually look like an upside down Christmas trees.
A matching Balmain clutch, skin-tight leather pants and Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ pumps completed her look.
I love the wild tresses and smoky eyes as it works very well with her rock chick look.
Kate Moss would be proud.

The look itself is not bad but somehow isn`t really working on her. Not liking the embellished top on her, and I don`t think that she is working the “rock chic” vibe of the look.
I love everything, but she looks a bit overweight, maybe it’s the fabric of the top…

apparently ‘not emaciated’ = ‘overweight?’ I don’t think the shirt hits at the best place for her body type but to call her overweight is silly.
She’s definitely not overweight but I understand the point you’re trying to make. It makes her look bigger than she is, which is unfortunate because she’s gorgeous and has a gorgeous body.
