Elie Saab attended the 2011 Marie Claire Prix de la Moda Awards, which were held at the French Embassy in Madrid, Spain last night, with his lovely wife.
There were many beautiful stars wearing his gorgeous designs.
Nieves Alvarez: The Spanish model wore a gold embellished one-shoulder gown from Elie Saab’s Spring 2010 collection. She accessorised with gold jewels and a black clutch.
Nati Abascal: She added a beautiful fur stole that matched her stone-coloured embroidered Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture gown with a grosgrain waistband and elbow-length sleeves. Fan Bingbing also wore this gown. It feels totally different on Nati, don’t you think?
Goya Toledo: The Spanish actress was shimmering on the red carpet wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture dark grey fully embroidered tulle one-shoulder gown. She completed her look with a silver bracelet and side-swept hair.
Irina Shayk: The model opted for a Fall 2011 Elie Saab gown. Her ivory gown with padded shoulders, a plunging neckline and central split was let down with burgundy ankle strap heels.
Nati is my favourite.

never thought i would see elie saab pieces look so cheap.
I agree. Especially Irina Shayk…
i think it is because of shoes and the pose.
Im not even breathing right now…Im actually teary.
How can 4 dresses be this beautiful from one designer?
Nati is my fave too FC. They all look divine!
+!
While all of them are gorgeous looks. But I agree with you FC, Nati is my favorite. She looks regal.
Nati. BDOTW contender.
I would love it if it wasn’t for the fur stole. Fur makes me sad. :/
Yes, I agree, let animals live… And I also think that the fur is too much, the dress should speak itself. I love Irina’s dress but those shoes kinda ruin it.
Thirded. I hate the fur and think it makes her look incredibly cheap and tacky. I wish that that hadn’t been FC’s favourite. I don’t want to start an argument, I’m just saying that it is possible to be in the fashion industry and take a stand against fur, like Stella McCartney does. Wearing fur is not the same as wearing leather or silk or natural textiles; the animals are literally tortured. And looking at Nati Abascal, was it worth it?
No, it definitely wasn’t. I totally agree with you. Furs should be abolished, we don’t live as Neanderthal’s men.
My favourite is Goya Toledo. It´s funny because she chose the dress that you pictured for Penelope Cruz, her best friend
Yes, so close
Goya Toledo is my fav., she makes it look modern while still looking glamorous and feminine.
Nati overdid it with the fur stole, too much of an “aging rich woman” vibe going on.
I like the first lady the best in the gold and black. I agree with you on your point about Nati and the stole 100 %.
Season mistake, you should rename the gray gown as Fall 2011 couture
Goya Toledo, though they’re all lovely. What a concentration of amazing dresses in one post.
Nieve is sicklly skinny!!!! what´s wrong with her!!!
At first look I thought Nieves was Alexa Chung! Shame on me I know..
Irina’s my favourite, channelling her inner RHW!
when I saw Irina, RHW was the first thing that came to my mind too!
Although I don’t care about Elie Saab cause of his lack of creativity I have to admit these ladies look lovely.
nieve is my favorite if the bunch!
i think all of them are gorgeous looks, but Goya Toledo is the nice one
Nieves looks stunning! I love the angles of the gown’s detailing… Gorgeous!
Goya Toledo was my favourite. Oh how I was rich and a star so I could wear/afford an Elie Saab creation! I would probably wear it all night, to bed too!
oops meant How I wish I was a star**
i am loving to Goya Toledo and Nieve Alvares……….. but it´s Elie Saab, always glamour. Nati is fabulous…… she look so good and glamorous………. so sophisticated 50´s look
Nati. She is so elegant. We can pretend it’s fake fur.
On Fan it was princessy on Nati it’s grande dame diva.
I have been yearning for that Elie Saab black and gold asymetric gown to be worn on th red carpet since I first laid eyes on it. I had it picked for the 2 people who I really thought would do it justice: Zoe and Diane. The only nearly as good moment I got was Toni colette. I think that this gown is gorgeous, and I am so glad someone so statuesque wore it, it is almost as amazing as I had imagined it to be. I muhc prefer Nati’s look to Fan’s, I prefer the colour on her skin tone and it is so elegant nad glamorous on her, will there be a poll? Goya Toledo, although not as momentuous as the others looks great, and Irina is a beautiful woman, despite her boyfriend, and she was glowing in this gown, he rminimalistic makeup was a pleasant surprise, if a bit messy, and the keyole back was divine. Strappy sandals to match her bleu ring would have been much prefered, though. I do love hte glamorous that these spanish events give. Looking through an edition of Hola is so mcuh better than an edition of Hello! Such a good time ot be Spanish!
Also, Irina’s shoes are Louboutins, the no.299 150′s.
Nati is not an actress, was a model.
She was Valentino’s muse in the 60s and 70s.
She is always the best dressed, whatever she’s wearing.
Nati is my favourite too & I actually think she looks better than Fan!
Hi FC!!! I am a Spanish of your blog. Although I don’t usually comment (as you see my English is not good) I follow you every day since 3 years ago. I feel very proud when you post Spanish celebrities. I would also clarify that Nati Abascal is not an actress, she is a Spanish socialite (The Duchess of Feria) and a former fashion model member of the International Best Dressed List since 1984.
Congratulations for the success of your blog!!! I love it!!!
Thanks Ana. I’m so happy you have been supportive for so long xxx
I love them all!! (except the fur stole..)
All bdotw contenders for me… Specially the golfem one..

Elie Saab is King.
That would be all.
(I had warned you about the uselessness of this comment, LOL).
Jokes aside, they all look great, Irina Shayk probably being my least favourite as she’s slightly overdoing it.
they all look good, except irina they are amazing. somehow she made it a little bad. the best is Nati Abascal, but i dislike the fur very much. and i think it is better than Fan’s which is kind of difficult.
Nati is amazing in this gown, I actually like this gown better on her than Fan.
They all look really beautiful. I can’t really decide on a favourite.
Nati steals the show – Nieves’s dress looks so heavy I wonder how easy it is to move around with it – I love Goya and Irina’s dresses but find them better on the runway
Nati wins.
all absolutely gorgeous!!!I am amazed by his dresses.
What does RHW stand for?
