Jessica Biel attended a dinner hosted by Elle and Tod’s honoring the star’s December cover at the Chateau Marmount in LA on Tuesday night.
The actress wore a prim taupe ‘Aurora’ dress from Roland Mouret’s Spring 2011 collection which she paired with a Tod’s clutch and Christian Louboutin heels.
We commend Jess for picking such a sophisticated dress for the style-minded dinner, but the cut of this tailored dress is simply not made for her frame.
On Jessica’s athletic build, we lose all movement and fluidity.
I do love the dark hair, though.

Love the hair. Who would have thought that 2 years ago?
You’re so right FC, this dress was not made for someone built like Jess. Her makeup looks great though.
+2. It was effortless and elegant on the runway.
Jess is a style conundrum. She’s so incredibly beautiful, and if I wish she could just find clothes to make her appear glamourous, but everything she wears is just a bit…off.
She looks awful. The dress is not right for her body, it is too tight and looks matronly. She has such a great figure and she could really look great but this fails.
the dress needs to be shorter to be high glamour..
yeah, like by half a meter !
This is something Helen Mirren could wear and still look age appropriate….
I actually liked the look before I looked at the runway presentation, but then…
+1
I can’t remember liking anything she wears on or off the red carpet – really sad and inexplicable.
Ditto on that. I’ll never understand what people find so great or beautiful about her. She looks like 25 girls walking in the mall right now.
well i, for one, thinks her face is absolutely gorgeous and her body is amazing! her fashion sense though, is in need of an improvement
I agree. She´s stunning but has no sense of what clothes work for her….
i agree about the fit and another thing that bothers me (and i know i am being nit picky) but the shoes are so small that i can see the all the toes. looks weird to me.
those shoes are hideous
Of course I don’t like the fit, but I love hair and make up. I really dislike the fact that the shoes show her toes.
I’m afraid i am going to have to be the first on this page to completely disagree…I love the way she makes the dress more structured and for more feminine. It does, i agree look too tight across the shoulders but i really feel she brings this deisgn to life as it appears so wishy washy on the run way, on yet another rake like model.
Also i adore a low vamp on a shoe, so much more flattering for the foot!
