Shingai Shoniwa In Alpana & Neeraj – ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ London Premiere

Shingai Shoniwa joined Kristen Stewart on the red carpet at the London premiere for ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1’ last night.

The singer was invited as she recorded a track for the movie.

Known for her extravagant, scene stealing red carpet looks, I wasn’t surprised to see her wearing this Alpana & Neeraj Spring 2012 dress which was presented during India Fashion Week last month.

Her dress is called the Industrial 3D ‘Surgical Mask Mermaid’ because it is made entirely of surgical masks.

She made the look her own, and less clinical, by adding pretty floral accents on the straps, which she also playfully added to her hair.

Some of you crave for something more interesting and different on the red carpet, so what do you think of the ‘Surgical Mask Mermaid’?

Celebrities Love…Coloured Leather Coats

As winter quickly approaches, celebs know that it’s all about the right coat.

However, a basic trench isn’t going to cut it.

Instead, fashionistas are all about coloured leather coats. While leather may not be the warmest fabric, it sure does look super chic.

The piece may have a luxe look, but it’s also very versatile. So, it comes as no surprise that this trend has been seen on and off the red carpet.

Since this isn’t your typical black coat, avoid looking too costumey by not wearing matching coloured heels à la Lady Gaga. Instead, try black boots like Rachel Zoe.

You can also take a cue from Blake Lively and step foot into the wild side by teaming it with snakeskin heels.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley kept her look simple with a rock n’ roll edge by adding leather pants.

It’s not that ease to find coloured leather coats, but we found these three.

Freida Pinto Ralph Lauren Blue Label & Balmain – L’Oreal’s 40th Anniversary Party

Freida Pinto helped celebrate L’Oreal Paris’ 40th anniversary of their landmark slogan ‘because I’m worth it’ at the Hotel d’Evreux in Place Vendome in Paris on Monday night.

The Indian brand ambassador wore a Ralph Lauren Blue Label dress.

Her gold crinkled-silk maxi-dress, matched with a gold embellished black Balmain Resort 2012 jacket she wore whilst arriving at the event.

Head-to-toe, Freida looks stunning in this gilded ensemble.

The wrinkled-on-purpose look is not an easy one to pull off, but Freida does it with elegance.

Fan Bingbing, who is the L’Oreal ambassador for Asia, also joined in the celebrations.

Hailee Steinfeld in Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony – Tod’s & Elle’s December Issue Dinner

Hailee Steinfeld was also in attendance at Tuesday night’s Elle dinner in LA.

The young actress wore a black lazar-cut Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony dress from the Resort 2012 collection.

The pairing of original cool-girl style star, Chloë Sevigny, and Hailee, who is leading the new-wave of stylish young actresses, is a match made in it-girl heaven.

The intricate designs in the leather garment have a great girly-meets-punk feel, while still maintaining some maturity.

However, with such a stand-out dress, we are overloaded with even more ‘notice-me’ styling.

We are fine with the printed jacket and peep-toe booties, but those bright-red tights absolutely ruin what could have been a great moment.

If she needed tights for coverage under the short skirt, black would have worked just fine, or at the very least, a maroon-red to match the jacket.

A severe fishtail braid and natural makeup complete the look.

Edgy or overcooked?
