Chloe Moretz In Suno – 2011 CFDA Vogue/Fashion Fund Awards

Chloe Moretz also attended the 2011 CFDA Vogue/Fashion Fund Awards at the Skylight SoHo in New York City last night.

The teen actress wore a Suno Spring 2012 dress.

Her ‘Bird Lady’ wrap dress feels a tad too big for her both in length and size, but that’s maybe because I’m so used to seeing her wearing skimpy clothes.

This is a grown ups dress. I had pictured it on Nina Garcia, Liv Tyler or Queen of the wrap dress Diane von Furstenberg.

Once again I’m not really that impressed. I continue to wonder what the fuss is all about when it comes to Chloe and why she appears on nearly every red carpet in LA, London and New York on a weekly basis.

Don’t teen actresses have homework?

A simple bun, hot-pink lips and grey caged sandals provided the finishing touches to her look.

This ages her sooo much. I can actually picture it on Betty White.

Now that you said it I can’t unsee it. It would actually look better on Betty.

Betty would rock that dress. ;)

Aside from the length, I actually like this dress on her. I don’t think it is a “grown-up’s dress”. I think it is beautiful, but it looks like a swimsuit cover-up on the model.

She can never really get it right…she’s now gone from too sexy to completely dowdy…I don’t know why she’s in such a rush to grow up so fast. She’s only like, 14. And I also agree with you that she’s always out somewhere! Shouldn’t she be doing schoolwork or something? I feel like it’s a bit too much too son for someone so young…she should take tips from Elle Fanning and her parents!

This dress is too mature for her and it doesn’t fit. The shoes are bad too.

      I totally agree with you.

If you look at her on IMDB, she has 4 movies in post-production which are due out next year….. which means I suppose she is still a red carpet commodity. But I really object to her and Hailey Steinfeld trying too hard to be fashion’s next “it” girl. I feel like all the hollywood teenagers are striving to be the next muse (like Marc Jacobs/Dakota Fanning) instead of having fun with fashion.

      Agreed.

I disagree. Both Dakota and Elle have a close relationship with Marc, and Hailee happened to catch the eye of Miu Miu, why shouldn’t she take advantage of that? They both dress age-appropriately anyway, but Chloe is always trying to look sexy and grown up, in my opinion.

She gets invited to red carpets because she is an up-and-coming actress who personifies cool. Plus she’s gorgeous.

As for her homework, she’s home-schooled and has always had to keep up to stay in the business. Since she’s very intelligent, that’s been no problem for her.

    • DP November 21, 2011 at 19:35 #

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. She is actually an incredibly talented actress, unlike people like Camilla Belle and Kate Bosworth, and she was very very good in Kick Ass and 500 Days of Summer. I get that she could be a little less exposed, but she is invited to these parties for her talent and we should probably celebrate that. Critiquing her fashion choices is fine, but that’s an oddly personal remark to make about a very up-and-coming actress who already has a great body of work.

i love this dress, but as you say, not on her.

the shoes are also too fussy.

  9. Carolina November 15, 2011 at 20:04 #

Love the shoes, love the bathrobe. I do not love them together, or on either woman.

I am so bored of teens playing dress up I’d rather focus on grown women.

    • Fashion Critic November 15, 2011 at 23:52 #

      Starting to feel the same

    • rebecca o November 16, 2011 at 08:16 #

      ITA.

  13. Linda November 15, 2011 at 23:14 #

    I like it.

  14. Natalie November 16, 2011 at 10:38 #

Really? I think this is pretty cute. She’s experimenting instead of being stuck in the same rut that the Fanning sisters (especially Elle) seem to be stuck in.

  15. Ellen December 25, 2011 at 21:45 #

This looks like 3 sizes too big on her. Very unflattering.
