Lady Gaga was one of the performers at the 2011 Bambi Awards which took place in Germany tonight.
In the press room the singer showcased her award wearing an Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 gown.
Her stunning gown with a gold embroidered bodice and headpiece plus an ivory ruffled skirt with a train is a work of pure art.
Trust Gaga to be the one to wear a McQueen look exactly as it was presented on the runway.
I think she’s only one who would not only dare; but pull it off such a look with great aplomb.
Claw-like black nails and a bold red lip colour completed her look.

In the top picture I thought her eyes looked a bit dark and in the bottom picture I saw what that was and I don’t like it one bit.
I’ve always wanted to see these headpieces on the red carpet but I would’ve thought that whoever wore it would let it shine on its own. Of course, Gaga would be the one to add something more to something that’s already a lot but she would also probably be the only one to wear something like this. I love love love the headpieces so so so much that I’m just so glad that at least one of them gets to have its moment on the red carpet.
Oh and the gown… it is way way way beyond exquisite (that was a given). BDOTW contender no doubt! But this probably guarantees a win!
So agree with you about this look and the headpiece (and everything in this collection), I just wish she could have kept her face and skin as plain as the runway.

I think she looks absolutely incredible. The makeup does the costume justice, and she’s just breathtaking. I love the risks she takes.

Beyond! THIS is a red carpet moment. As strange as it sounds, it almost looks as though she and the dress have become one – this dress was made for her and only her. No doubt Alexander McQueen is looking down from the heavens and smiling. Legacy, fulfilled.

I agree wholeheartedly. She would pull off this magnificent dress with ease but the make-up lets her down big time. She has enough personality to ‘risk’ a neutral and more fitting pallette and I am sad that she didn’t.
I think she pulls it off – it’s like dancing on the head of a pin, not so many people can do it, but Gaga manages (although just, for her eye makeup does teeter on guilding the lily….)
Phenomenal!! This gown is beyond words and I too am so glad that it gets it’s red carpet moment. I would have liked her to tone down the makeup though, particularly the eye makeup but amazing none the less

Somehow I think Gaga looks better in this dress than the model. Not a fan of this look, but she really makes it work

She pulls this off easily! Absolutely beautiful. This is one of my favorite looks from Gaga.
I was praying for a real moment in this gown, and Gaga just kileld that dream. The makeup si the worse of it all. I was reall yimagining Diane Kruger, Anna Paquin or Zoe Saldana n this gorgeous gown, or Queen Cate if we were lucky, but unfortunately it was gaga who got it, adn for me it isn’t half as excitig as it could have been.
