The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge hosted a charity dinner at St James’s Palace in London tonight, in aid of the National Memorial Arboretum Appeal.
Catherine wore a Jenny Packham gown.
Her Grecian-style silver chiffon satin gown with a draped shoulder was accented at the waist with a matching ribbon.
A bright red poppy, silver jewels, and matching silver peep-toes accessorized her look as she dazzled her guest with sweeping hairstyle and a nude lip colour.

It’s nice enough, but I think you already I just can’t really get excited about her.
What would it take for you to get excited about her? Or has she had her opportunity and blown it?
A real interest in fashion would be a start.
If it’s not navy, it this grey stone colour, with a flash of red now and again.
I like fashion big and bold and the only day she did that was on her wedding day.

People are always defending her boring clothes with comments like, “Well, shes just not interested in fashion”, but lets not forget that she claimed to have worked in fashion, so now Kate really has no excuse.

I have a question for you, FC (and everyone else from UK, really).
I’m from Brazil and don’t fully undestand the issues with royalty. I find her style a tad too boring for my taste. Always too safe. But, on the other hand, maybe she’s just adjusting her style to be demured, ‘cos she’s a royal now and has to be more discret, somehow. I have no idea of how she used to dress, before she became engaged to Prince William…
It’s not that I dislike her entirely, but I wish she could turn up the volume, you know? Except on the makeup, ‘cos my goodnes! It’s always to much, to tacky! Easy on the blush, woman!
Yes, turning up the volume would be very welcome, but like you said she may just be easing herself into her new role first

Nah…its a good idea, but she wouldnt do his clothes justice.
But FC, she cannot be that edgy and fashion-forward. She is in the Firm now and it’s not her job to be big and and bold. I agree though, that there is room for some much needed improvement.
This said, I like the dress, and I like that she wore a poppy too.

This is doing terrible things to her shoulders, she looks like a linebacker. And because it can’t be said enough, her makeup/tanning makes her look a good 10-15 years older than she actually is.

This is a stunning gown, and its definitely the best I have seen from her, but did she run out of time to finish her hair? This is stunning, but her hair looks ridiculous. Its time for her to change it up. The honeymoon phase is starting to fade in terms of her style and a lot of people are becoming bored with her taste. I would love to be blown away just once.

Jenny Packham makes some beautiful gowns as we have seen recently but while this is lovely it is just a bit boring. The previous Jenny Packham gown worn by the Duchess was so beautiful in comparison.

D, I believe she does it herself. I can’t remember where I read it, but around her wedding date, everyone was talking about it, and that she’d do her own makeup for the wedding too…
Don’t like the dress. It looks like the dress is a few sizes too big; all the fabric swamps Catherine’s slight frame. I like her hair pulled back, shame it’s only on one side.
The dress looks amazing but it does not suit her it looks like its not her size, although she has a small waist, but no hips, it makes her look like a grey pencil….

Apart from her wedding day the only time she has looked truly stunning is the blush jenny packham from her first post wedding outing…since then its all been pretty safe but thats her style. Staying positive, I look foward to being wowed by her again…I suppose there’s something interesting about waiting for that moment…versus someone who always looking amazing!

FC, I noticed that you are one of the only media outlets who call her Catherine,Duchess of Cambridge where as whereas everyone else (#cough# daily mail) still calls her Kate Middleton…it shows her classy you are FC.

She has never impressed fashion-wise and that even includes wedding gown. She looks nice but nothing that wows me.
she’s swimming in it, and it’s begging her to pull her hair back. another snoozer for me.
She’s getting way too thin now. A few extra pounds will definitely make her look more beautiful.
This is a winning look – for me the sultry summer-esque makeup elevates the entire look. She looks natural, sexy and confident.
