Following the BMI Awards on Wednesday, the 2011 CMA Awards took place last night in Nashville, Tennessee.
Taylor Swift looked angelic wearing a J. Mendel gown.
Her ice silk mousseline strapless couture gown has a gathered tulle overlay and feathered organza detailing.
This is a beautiful gown, but there is too much gown in this gown. I wish the train was trimmed for a sleeker finish.
Lorraine Schwartz chandelier earrings and a wavy ponytail completed her look.

Wow, she sent her waxwork to this event…maybe she was tired.
It is a gorgeous dress and she looks beautiful, I’m glad she pulled her hair back and went with the deeper pink lip colour. It is a i too bridal for me though so I agree with you FC there needs to be less train for a more sleeker look
too bridal – agree!
first thing i thought – too bridal. would be actually lovely for a wedding.
Taylor Swift is starting to look like a cloth hanger, the cloths change but her face/expression stay the same. I am tired of her cat eye and red/pink lip color with a waxy face.Even her hair always appears the same ,its just curly/wavy. She is sickly sweet now,I think I am diabetic of her. She really needs to change it up, she is too young to be soo monotonous.
I totally agree with you.
This look reminds me of the dress she wore at the MET gala ….déjà vu ?
I feel the same.
My thoughts exactly although this looks really bridal…
I feel exactly hte same, it is like the same dress melded with pretty much every other gown she has ever worn. I am still prayign for something different next time. fingers crossed …..
Good lord, girl.
Beautiful gown, stunning but the train is a bit too much for an awards show.
boring. gorgeous dress dont get me wrong but she just sucks all the life out of it.
Exactly
TAYLOR, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHANGE YOUR HAIRSTYLE.
Can I add another PLEASE PLEASE
Oh God. How many times, and in how many variations, have we seen this gown? Do designers pass it around as a filler gown of sorts?
It’s a pretty gown, but I don’t think I would vote for it as BDOTW.
What will she wear when she eventually gets married? LOL Toooooo tooooo much dress here!
It’s a beautiful gown – just not on her. For some reason, I see this dress and think Kate Beckinsale or Eva Mendes, someone who would work the heck out of it. I wish Taylor would change it up a bit – sure, she is sweet & wholesome, but a more daring look wouldn’t kill her once in a while. I think I’ve been over her “oh gosh, golly gee, you really like me” bit for a while now. Shock me, please.
TOTALLY AGREE
I actually like it, but I agree that she is kind of overdressed. Still, good look for her.
I really like it. I wish the train were shorter, but aside from that, its a really great dress. I would have straightened her hair and pulled it back into a low bun. Its nice though.
I worked for the designer…..he recycles the same designs year after year come on Gilles BORING!!!!
