LeAnn Rimes was also in attendance at the 2011 CMA Awards which took place in Nashville, Tennesse, last night.
She walked the red carpet sans hubby wearing a Badgley Mischka Spring 2012 gown.
I’m not sure I’m buying this gown on LeAnn.
There is something quite sweet and angelic about the dove-grey lace gown with a tiered bodice and ruffled train that she is just not selling to me.
She’s not the sweet girl anymore, so I would’ve loved to have seen her wear something with a bit more sass to suit her new persona.
A matching quilted clutch, a frizzy half-up, half-down hairstyle and tragic eye shadow completed her look.

This is amazing!!!
“tragic eyeshadow” — haha!
I don’t like this gown on her. I don’t like her hair or her eye makeup.
I love it!!
This gown is so beautiful, such a shame it’s wasted on LeAnn’s skeletal frame and bad hair/makeup. I would love to see this on Carrie Underwood.
Agreed – Carrie would have looked a lot more spectacular in this dress.
Carrie Underwood or Taylor Swift might be the only people I can picture pulling something this glittery and tooth-achingly sweet off well.
the hair and the makeup are horrid
The CMAs red carpet always feels like looking through photos from a Prom. I totally agree FC, she needs to pick a less pageanty dress, do a smoky eye and wear her hair sleek and straight. Seeing her in dresses like this is like when Britney Spears tries to dress ‘cute.’ Like Brit, LeAnn you’re ”not that innocent.”
True, she’s not that innocent. She’s making a mockery out of this sweet dress
whys she no longer innocent?
I think she looks pretty nice- good enough to make me ignore how much I dislike her anymore- it conceals her bad skinniness and the messy hair kind of detracts from her face. Ugh.
To me, this hides enough of her not pretty to give the illusion of looking good. I’m not sure of that’s a compliment or what… sorry LeAnne. That wasn’t very nice of me.
I find this gown really busy with all those tiers and ruffles… I don’t really like it.
+1. Hair and makeup are a travesty.
i agree with the two of you. She should have chopped off the train at least.
She looks trashy which perfectly suits the new her.
Tragic eye shadow indeed! What is wrong with her face? She looks so much older than 29. I think this dress would have been better suited for someone like Faith Hill – although she looked stunning in her gown!
agree. she looks much older than 29.
Agree, Was just coming here to say “SHE LOOKS SO OLD.” I guess an eating disorder and a life of crazy will do that to a girl.
Tacky.
The gown is over-designed. Ruffles, a peplum, a train, and sparkly? Really? There is way too much going on here to be fashionable.
Thank you.
The dress is a mess.
from the neck down she looks fine. that close up is horrid beyond belief
I actually loved how sweet this dress is. LeAnn has been trying hard lately to push the envelope and be sexy. I like that she kept it sophisticated and feminine.
The only nice part of this outfit is the earrings. And the clutch is too matchy-matchy.
Yeah not buying it I just don’t think that she can pull of this sweet and innocent style. so funny FC the eyeshadow is very tragic. The dress is amazing but not working.
The dress looks intriguing – in a good way – in the runway shot on LeAnn it’s just meh.
Love the dress just not on her. It would have been a nice change of pace for taylor swift.
